Chapter 15

Jisung tells Hwang's family everything about his mom, Mrs.Han.

Mrs.Han sold Jisung to Mr. Kang when he was four years old. At that age, Jisung thought that his mom had to leave him to Mr. Kang for work matters. But actually, he was sold by his mom.

Mr. Kang is a good man. He is in his early 40s. He is not married and his parents passed. Mr.Kang also has no siblings. So, when Mrs. Han offered Jisung to him, he agreed. But six months later, Mr. Kang died of a heart attack. The situation made Mrs. Han take back Jisung.

When Jisung was in high school, he met Yeji. They are in the same class. At the same time, Mrs. Han is looking for another family that wants to 'buy' her son.

"Did she ever harm you?"inquired Mrs. Hwang.

"Physically no, mentally yes. She said I burden her. She always says she hates me."

"You know what, I met her during a charity event at my friend's company. She was with a guy. My friend told me, she's the worst mom ever. I asked her, how? She told me about her plan to sell his son. I'm curious, so I investigated about your family,”said Mrs. Hwang.

“She's cunning. She knows who's her target,” mumbled Jisung who was comfortable in his fiancé's arms.

"She is. She put a high price on me when she knew I was interested in buying..nice word, adopted you. But your dad, pay her double,"continued Mrs. Hwang and smiled at her husband.

As soon as Jisung became one of their family, they planned to change Jisung's first name, but the boy asked to be given time. For Jisung, being able to live at Hwang's family's house means enough to him.

"I make her promise to stay away from you. She doesn't deserve to be your mom. After all, Yeji is excited when she finds out that her friend will become her sibling,"said Mr. Hwang.

"Thank god, you're not my truly siblings.."Hyunjin muttered.

"But, back then, were you excited about mom and dad's decision?"asked Jisung.

"Not really. But I'm happy because we can get rid of you from that woman,"Hyunjin told sincerely.

"Not really, huh?"Jisung teased.

"It's a normal reaction, baby. Imagine you have a perfect family, but suddenly, your parents want someone else to be part of your family."

"But he likes you before you came into this house,"said Yeji indirectly informing her brother's secret.

Jisung turned to his fiancé. His eyes gleamed at hearing Yeji's words.

"Really?"

"He always talks about you with us,"Mr. Hwang shared Hyunjin's secret.

"I can't believe all of you,"muttered Hyunjin with a disbelieving face. But that's the reality.

"That's the fact though,"replied Mrs.Hwang and reached for her phone, which rang. She scanned at Jisung's face when she caught the name written on the phone screen, but the boy carelessly teased his fiance.

"Hello. Oh, okay. I'll be there. Thank you."

"Who was that?"asked Mr.Hwang when he looked at his wife biting her lip.

"Jisung.."

Jisung who was in Hyunjin's arms, turned to his mom.

"She's dead."
