Byakuya sat alone in his office.  He had been doing paper work all day, and he was beginning to get a bit tired.  His eyes wondered about the room and he spotted a small mark on one of the walls.  He thought back of how that mark on the wall had gotten there.

Byakuya had been teaching his wife, Hisana how to through daggers recently.  She had one day saw him doing it, and thought it was interesting and asked him about teaching her how to do it.  At first he had refused, but eventually she got the better of him, and he agreed to teach her.  They had practiced for at least an hour every day for a few months and one day they were in the office and she was playing with one of the daggers in her hands.  She was moving it around between her fingers, and Byakuya scared causing her to jump, and the dagger to go flying.  It landed in one of the four walls, and she couldn't help but to laugh.  She turned to her husband to see him straining, as to not to laugh at the incident.  "Oh come on dear."  He chuckled and shook his head at his wife.  His arms wrapping around her small waist.

"Remind me to never make you angry."  He told her as he kissed her cheek.

She giggled his name and he turned her to face him as he kissed her.  She kissed him back happily before he pulled away and a small pout appeared on her face.  He smirked and poked her nose and he kissed her forehead.  He walked over and took the dagger out of the wall, he thought to himself that he would have someone fix that later.

Hisana began to pull on his arm and he turned his head to look at her.  "Lets go do something fun, just the two of us."

"Hisana..."

"Please, like we used to, when you would sneak away to see me.  Please?"  She looked up at him with those eyes of hers that could see through to his soul.

"Alright my dear."

She giggled out a yes and began to pull on his arm once more.  He walked over to the desk and put the dagger inside one of the drawers.  He walked out of the office with her on his arm, and soon out of his home.  They made their way outside of the seireitei and towards a hill top that he used to meet her at when they had first met.  They sat down under one of the trees on the hill side, and Byakuya wrapped his arms around his beautiful wife as she leaned back against him.

"I miss coming out here."  She told him as she looked up at the sky.

"You have always liked it up here."

"Yes, I have haven't I?"  She felt him nod.  She smiled at him, turning her head to look up at him.  He smiled back at her, and touched his nose to hers, before he pecked her lips and stood, bringing her with him.  He offered her a hand and she took it.  He slowly began to release a small amount of his spirit energy and allowing it to flow to her.  She loved when he did this, but he could only do a little as to not hurt her.  She smiled at him, and soon he was dancing with her, even though there was no music to be heard.  It was only the two of them together and that is all that mattered to her.

The memory faded away from him, and he smiled to himself, as he looked at the mark on the wall once more.  He was happy that he had forgotten to get someone to fix that.

A thought accord to him and he opened a drawer in the desk, the same one that he had put the small dagger in so many years ago.  There it was.  He reached in and pulled it out and held it up in the candle light.  There engraved on the blade was their initials.  He smiled at the thought, she had wanted their initials on the blades.  He felt something wet and warm fall down his face.  He wiped it away and realized that it was a tear.  He misses her every day.  How he wished she was here now.  To see her face, to touch her, to kiss her ever so gently.  To hold her in his arms, to feel her warmth that she made him feel.  He closed his eyes as another tear fell from his eyes.  He sighed and put the dagger back in its place inside the drawer.  He stood and began to walk to their old room.

He still has a part of her with him.  Her sister, Rukia.  He had made a promise to keep her safe, to protect her, to take her in as his little sister.  And as his wife had asked, he did.  One his way to his room, he stopped in front of a door.  He opened it slightly to see the sleeping form.  Rukia had stayed the night with her brother the past few days, and tonight he thought to check on her.  She seemed peaceful in her sleep and he closed the door as he thought once more.  And then spoke lower than a whisper.  "If only you could meet her."  He walked to his room, and got ready to fall asleep

He laid in his bed, and looked over at the spot where she used to sleep.  He rolled on his side and placed his hand in her spot.  He closed her eyes, and pictured her there lying next to him.  Wishing more than anything that he could see her one more time.
