This is just the beginning of something fun :)

"Shit shit shit"

A blonde blob of bedhead scrambles to his feet where he was just sleeping like a baby on the carpeted floor.

"FUck I'm actually an idiot"

He huffed as he never set an alarm last night, far too drunk or high, he genuinely can't remember- to set one. How did he end up 5 feet away from his bed, on the floor with remnants of his "heavy metal" KISS costume lingering on his body? Not sure but he doesn't even care. He couldn't see his face but he could feel the eye liner Travis applied smudged all around his eyes.

God his face was probably a tragedy right now.
The thing is, apparently college parties could get pretty intense, especially the ones on October 31st. And most importantly as of right now, November 1st at 9:47 in the morning, Garroth was going to be late. Late to coffee with Aphmau.

The girl he's been in love with since sophomore year of highschool. Trust in Garroth that he knows how sad it is to still have feelings for someone from highschool that you're one hundred percent sure will never return your feelings... but the man just couldn't let go.

Speaking of Aphmau, as Garroth is pulling up a pair of clean pants while attempting to brush his teeth and hair at the same time, his phone starts ringing.

"Dammit"

He spits out the toothpaste, rinsing his mouth. Garroth picks up the phone,  ready to start full on apologizing and promising to pay for coffee for at least the next month, but Aphmau is too quick. Her high pitched squeaky voice loud enough to be considered on speaker breaks through the phone.

"Garroth I told you this was important"

She groans exaggeratedly. Garroth can already picture perfectly the mental image of her gripping her hair, teasing to rip it out.

"I told you I'm bringing an old friend from highschool. Travis and Kaitlynn are already here, where the fluff are you???"

Old friend? High school? Oh fuck Garroth hated reunions even though he had no idea who this person even was.

"Hey Aph, I had a um-"

He searched for the right word.
"Long."

"Long night"

"Ew Garroth please don't tell me you're with another girl. I really would like to not know when you're having casual sex"

Garroths face flushed at her words.

"No Aph, I- just" He sighed.

"I'm on my way, okay?"

"I'll be there in 10 minutes" Garroths hand was now resting above his eyes, shielding the bright bathroom lights from his now throbbing headache. He was really starting to feel his hangover and really regretted not taking anything for it.

"Okay Gar, just hurry up please"

"Bye Aph-" the phone line cut off before he could finish saying goodbye.

"Why me"

Asking nobody a question hoping for an answer was a norm now for garroth. This day was gonna be so mentally draining already, Garroth could feel it. He shrugged off the bad vibes and put on the best friendly face he had and began his short trip to his friends.

The cafe they usually occupied was only a 10 minute walk from his apartment . The air was crisp and a slight breeze tickled the back of Garroths bare neck and arms. Of course in his morning frenzie he forgot to grab his coat on the way out.
