I'm currently yassifying part 2 of the story but until then have the original version..
•••
the small amount of sleep you had felt like a blur, after ignoring dreams shitty apology. you hoped it wasn't actually him, and it was just your imagination playing a bad trick on you. but it wasn't your imagination, everything that happened including that text were real. last night was the night you let yourself go and fucked your friendship up. what bothered you the most of this situation was the uneasy feeling you had, you still wondered why this mattered if you weren't even that close with dream anymore.
memories from last night flashed in your mind from when your eyes adjusted to the lighting in the room. the customized varsity football backpack on the floor with foolishs name reminded you who's room this was.
sitting up on the bed you look back at foolish who had his back turned away from you, still asleep. you wished he was awake to thank him for everything last night, he was so kind to you even after what you told him. when you ignored dreams message you realized that it was a good idea to tell foolish the truth. like you would've expected he was understanding and just reassured you that it was all fine.
with your shoes on and phone in hand, you took one last glance at foolish before closing the door. he was a heavy sleeper so you didn't have to worry about waking him up. your phone buzzed again to remind you the text was still there, but you ignored it.
the halls seemed empty so you would assume it was earlier than 11 or everyone had a rough night like yours. but no matter how early or late you thought it was a voice in the end of the hallway caught your attention.
"y/n" sapnaps voice made your heart sink.
your eyes widened when you heard his voice, immediately looking up making sure you weren't imagining things from the drugs. you weren't sure whether to feel scared or angry at sapnap standing right in front of your door.
there he was standing like nothing happened as if the fight with dream meant nothing. well, he was probably not aggravated by it since the whole problem was centered around you. what made it worse was his smile, like he was happy to see you?
at this moment you wished you stayed in bed with foolish.
"i— i gotta go— i'm going back" you stammered. his presence caught you so off guard, it was hard to form a normal sentence. your instinct made you turned to foolishs door.
"y/n wait" sapnaps smile drops stepping closer to you to stop.
as you gave up to open the locked door you looked up at sapnap wishing you could push him away or something. there wasn't exactly a word that could explain the rage he gave you standing in front of you.
"what? are you here to tell me how much of a slut i am? or treat me like shit for getting in the way of you and your best friend? listen dream already did enough i don't need—" you rambled squinting your eyes at sapnap holding back any force you had in your hands.
"you forgot your lanyard in the front seat i just wanted to give it back to you" sapnap cut you off handing you back the lanyard that contained your key and address in case you lost it again.
you grab the lanyard giving sapnap a nod while looking down at your feet when you brushed passed him bumping his shoulder. it was rude but you couldn't care less anymore about how sapnap looked at you.
"thanks" you say blankly unlocking your dorm and stepping in hoping this would be your last time seeing his pretty face.
"i'm sorry" sapnap said stopping the door before you slammed in his face. "i'm so sorry about last night. it was my fault i wasn't thinking straight—" sapnap began to apologize leaning closer to you now guilt finally showing.
