"You're my crush i got a crush on you~" singing on the top of her lungs. Jisoo was twirling on her swivel chair at her room.
Jisoo grooved to the music, lost in the moment, and oblivious to the chaos surrounding her. She had been working hard on their research paper and needed this break to rejuvenate her mind and spirit.
The phone call from Miyeon was a welcome interruption. "Hey, Soo. How's your research doing?" She picked up the call and answered, "Almost done. You?"
Miyeon's voice on the other end was filled with concern, "Yup, I'm thankfully done. I'm currently in the convenience store near your house. Wanna get you something? I'll be there in a minute."
Jisoo was grateful for her friend's thoughtfulness. She nodded, even though Miyeon couldn't see it, and replied, "I'll have another soda, please. Mine's almost empty here. Thanks!"
As she hung up the phone, Jisoo decided to take a moment to relax and enjoy her break. She couldn't wait for Miyeon's visit and the refreshing soda she had just ordered.
As Jisoo waited for Miyeon on the balcony of their house, she decided to take a moment to enjoy the fresh air outside. It was a peaceful moment, and the gentle breeze provided a welcome break from the chaos inside her room.
But she couldn't resist the temptation of checking her social media accounts, and like any dedicated fan, she decided to visit the Instagram profile of her schoolmate and secret crush, Joshua Hong. She had grown fond of him and made a habit of checking his posts whenever she could.
Jisoo's heart fluttered as she zoomed in on one of Joshua's latest photos. He looked like an angel in her eyes, with his charming smile and effortless charm. He was popular on campus for good reason, being both sporty and academically accomplished.
She couldn't help but smile and daydream a little as she looked at his pictures. Joshua was the kind of person who could brighten up her day with just a glance, and she cherished these moments when she could admire him from afar.
Jisoo was lost in her thoughts, admiring Joshua as she daydreamed about her secret crush. She never expected to receive a text message from him, and the coincidence made her heart race.
Jsohua's message was considerate and professional, asking about their research paper. It was clear that he was a responsible leader, which only made Jisoo admire him more.
Taking a deep breath to calm her racing heart, Jisoo quickly typed a response:
To: Joshua
Hi! Thanks for checking in. I've almost finished my part, just doing some final touches. I'll let you know if I need any help. Thanks!
She sent the message with a smile, hoping that she had managed to convey her appreciation for his dedication to the project.
Miyeon shook her head, still skeptical about Jisoo's crush on Joshua. "He is a very busy man, Jisoo. Out of everyone in the campus, why him?"
Jisoo, who had faced this question from her friend before, shrugged and replied, "Well, everyone can't help but to like someone without meaning to do so, right? It just happened naturally."
Her friend continued to express her reservations, saying, "No offense, but how many times do I have to tell you. You're into more of a bad boy type, not academically good guys who have proper etiquette. Joshua is a very busy and responsible student out of all the guys in our campus."
Jisoo leaned back in her chair, remembering her past relationships and her bad boy ex-boyfriends. She shivered at the thought.
Despite Miyeon's reluctance and her own friend's doubts, Jisoo was determined. She needed an inspiration to go to school and face each day with a smile. "Don't worry, after our research defense, I'll confess to him and go on with our separate ways. We're going to graduate from senior high school in two months anyway."
