It was very bright.
Way too bright.
Almost like having the sun shining right infront of a magnifying glass, right infront of your face.
More bright than average bright.
Red Velvet's eyes opened and found that everything was even more bright when you had your eyes open.
Wonderful.
He, unsuccesfully, tried to raise himself up to sitting position and realised he was in a bed. Yellow covers was tucked neatly around him and his head was on a pillow with fringed edges.
It reminded him of the bed he had slept in when visiting his Grandma as a child, exept that these covers were made of a rough fabric, not unlike a sack, and stuffed with something that felt like hay. The pillow was definitely made from wool and the pillow case was worn out. That meant...
Velvet quickly kicked the cover off and stumbled out of the bed. He had been sleeping in someone else's bed!
He tried to brush off any remaining hay from the bed that there might be on his clothes when he realised that he weren't in his own clothes either. Obviously, he had already relised he wasn't wearing his spacesuit. But instead of his grey t-shirt and sweatpants, he was wearing some weird hoodie that sort of looked like a red cake with white frosting and sprinkles, and brown cargo pants. A pair of headphones were placed on his head and he shaked his head to make them fall off. In the process, a few strands of red hair fell down in front of his eyes. Force of habit, Velvet lifted his hand to brush it away, but stopped halfway. His hair was red. Not brown. That couldn't be true. Unless someone was pulling a prank on him. Perhaps Boomer. He would be the only person to take it as far as to change Red's clothes, dye his hair and lock him in somewhere. Somewhere where the sun was shining brighter than anywhere else on earth!
Velvet realised, just as he had thought that thought, that he was probably not on earth. He hadn't been for 20 years. But he wasn't on the spaceship either. It had crashed yesterday.
Suddenly, everything came rushing back at him.
The explosion, Boomer sitting on the panel, getting hit by A LITERAL ASTROID.
And now he was here.
In a small wooden cottage where the sun was way too bright.
Velvet closed his eyes because a faint memory floated into his mind.
Some guy without a spacesuit. Floating around near them.
He was probably dead now.
And what about the others?
Gumi, Bad, Boomer, 5up, Foolish, Punz and Sam!
What had happened to them?
AND HOW DID I END UP IN THIS DAMN CABIN!
The wooden door opened.
Velvet spun around and made eye contact with a girl who looked rather frightened. She had fluffy pink hair with a simple diadem placed on top. Her brown eyes (don't come for me, I am basing this off of her mc skin) were big and seemed to light up a bit. She was wearing a dark grey sweater with a grey stripe and grey cargo pants. In her hand was a tray with mochis, muffins and cookies on. They immediately filled the cabin with a smell of sugar and sweetness. The girl smiled at Velvet and placed the tray on the bed.
"These are for you! I was told you were still passed out, so I thought I'd bring you something for you to enjoy when you woke up. They're still a bit warm so maybe wait a few minutes untill they're cooled off. Oh, I am Niki, by the way," she said holding her hand towards Velvet. He took it and smiled back at her, just because it was impossible not to. "I am Red Velvet. But you can just call me Velvet. And thank you, did you bake these?"
