"The blood moon is on the rise; the fire is burning in my eyes. Nobody but me can keep me safe." - #beingsamz
Katherine wasn't surprised by this news. She knew that someone would find a way to kill her at some point because there is always a balance with nature no matter if you are supernatural or not. That is the most important thing to know as a supernatural creature.
Katherine looked at Zeus and asked, "How does he plan on killing me?"
Zeus took a deep breath before he answered with "He plans on killing you when the full moon turns red this month."
Katherine looked up at the moon and saw that it was three quarters full tonight.
"I only have roughly three days left until the full moon. What will the red full moon do to me?" said Katherine in a frustrated tone of voice.
"Selene said that it could possibly weaken you and force you to be human until it turns white again. With you being human and having no connection to your wolf side you would be mortal again." answered Zeus as he put his hand on her shoulder.
"Which means he could kill me, and I would stay dead for good even after it turns back to white." replied Katherine with a shocked look on her face.
Katherine gave Zeus a small smile and thanked him for the warning before he teleported back to Olympus through his lightning bolt. Katherines eyes lit up in their dark crimson red color right before she punched right through the trunk of a giant willow tree and watched it fall down onto the forest floor. Katherine heard a familiar voice come from behind her.
"You want to talk to me about what Zeus just said to you?" asked the familiar voice.
Katherine turned around to face the person before answering with "Never thought I would see you again after seventeen years of absolutely hearing nothing from you again after that small note."
"I know. I am sorry for disappearing on everyone like that but... I needed time and space to try to get over you after you ended things with me that day." replied the person as he stepped into the moonlight.
"It's fine. You should go back to wherever you've been hiding for almost two decades, Stefan. I don't need your help at all. Haven't needed it for a very long time." replied Katherine as she walked past him.
As Katherine was walking away, she could feel a little heartache come on from the memory of the morning after Dracula broke free.
(17 years ago, on the night of Dracula's escape)
Katherine was running at full speed through the forest in her werewolf form trying her best to stay on Dracula's trail. She was bloodthirsty and she let the monster in control finally. She was done holding back because she was afraid that she would kill someone else after she killed Charles and Xander. Katherine started running on all fours and she gained some more speed when she did that. Eventually she blacked out when she completely let go and let her animal instincts take over. When she came to it again and was in human form, Katherine saw that she was covered in blood. She smiled and followed the blood trail to see if she finally caught the bastard. But the trail didn't lead to Dracula's body. Instead, it led straight to Kelsey. She was laying up against a pine tree covered in bites and claw marks. For some reason she wasn't healing like normal. Katherine rushed over to try to help her friend.
Katherine felt a huge wave of guilt and said "I am so sorry Kelsey. I didn't mean to attack you. Why are you not healing?"
"You are fine. Trust me... I get it Katherine. I would have done the same thing as you. But... I think that I am not healing because when you bit me, I could feel something enter into my bloodstream. I think your bite is dangerous to my kind. You have some kind of venom in your bite." replied Kelsey while she was fighting back the urge to scream in pain from the burning sensation that Katherine's venom was causing.
