Louis paced the dining room, waiting for everyone to come down. He was lost in thought. Something had to be done about the ball to come. So many questions about it had already been asked. Anymore and he might have to start lying.

“Master Tomlinson?” A voice interrupted his thoughts. He turned to see Kylie standing in the entryway.

“Yes?”

“Do you have any certain seating arrangement?” She asked, quietly.

Louis thought about it for a moment. “No, anywhere they like.”

Kylie bowed her head. “Thank you.”

“Thank you.” Louis said. “You and the others are the ones setting up everything. I went through the kitchen earlier smells wonderful.”

She smiled at him and turned to leave. She’s beautiful, Louis thought.

Getting everyone seated around the dining room table was a bit of a challenge, but Kylie and Carly managed to do it. Once everyone was seated they left to the kitchen to help the cooks or anyone who needed it. Kylie was set to make sure that all was perfect for Master Tomlinson and his quests. He was after all counting on her.

“Kylie, dear, grab the vegetables would you?” Cook Mary said behind a pot of something in her hands. Kylie grabbed a towel and used it to keep from burning her hands when she grabbed the bowl of steaming vegetables.

She followed Mary out to the dining room careful of where she walked. Everyone was talking and laughing and looked to be having a good time. Louis looked over at Kylie when she came through the door. He smiled and gave her a wink. She blushed and almost ran into to Mary.

“Careful, Dear.” Mary whispered under her breath.

Kylie nodded and set the bowl down. Carly came out with other bowls of different things. They exchanged a glance, which seemed to say ‘good job’. Kylie was about to open the door back into the kitchen when Louis’s voice stopped her.

“Kylie.” He said. She turned and bowed her head.

“Master Tomlinson?” She asked, quietly.

“I was wondering if you and Carly would care to join us.” He asked, motioning to the empty chairs across from each other.

Kylie was stunned at first. “Oh- I- thank you, sir. I would greatly enjoy joining you. If that is okay with you and your guests.”

Louis looked at the others, eyebrows raised.

“Of course she can join.” Cora said, smiling at Kylie. The others nodded. Kylie smiled, curtsied and left to get Carly.

“Oh Louis you are too nice to your staff, you know?” Harry pointed out.

Louis nodded. Cora said. “I think it’s rather sweet and very much admire it, Louis.”

“I do as well.” Lia stated. Cora had met Harry’s sister only once before. She had been very nice and Cora definitely liked her. She was different though from Harry, that was obvious.

“So, Niall,” Louis began. “I do believe you traveled to Ireland not too long ago?”

Niall nodded. “Yes I did.”

“How was it?” Liam asked.

Niall smiled and was quiet for a second. He seemed to be thinking. “It’s always the same; home sweet home. It was good to see my family again, though. I’ve missed them a lot and I do now.”
