When we got home from school I called my dad and asked him if everything was ok he said
"you have a new baby sister!!!!"
"What's her name?"
"Kana"
"Um-Areia" when he said the he seemed a bit hesitant
"yeah?" I answered
"w-w-we can't come home right now"
"Why?"
"y-your mom passed out and she's having some issues so you have to stay home and be like the parent but your sister has to come home so your grandma is going to be coming and dropping her off tomorrow and the baby stuff there will also be a book so you know what to do for her"
"But I am only 14 and Jeffreys only 11!"
"I know sweetie but please for me and your mom"
"ok i'll tell jeffrey and if I need any help do I call you or grandma?"
"us"
"ok bye"
"bye"
then i said to jeffrey
"jeffrey we're babysitting our little sister"
"WHAT!!!"
"Yeah mom just had a baby her name's kana. Grandma is gonna drop her off."
" why not mom and dad?!"
I broke into tears
"What's wrong?"
In tears I said
"mom isn't coming home"
"why?"
at this point my voice breaking
"when I called dad he told me that mom passed out and she was having issues so kana had to come home and grandma can't stay either because of grandpa having cancer she needs to be there for him!"
After we talked about kana he understood.
