Rogue now stands before the board of directors, he's just about to make a report about his recent mission, apparently Mr. smith who had disguised himself underground as Mike claimed he had some vital information on the inner workings of 'Twilight', the Dark Agency's rivaling underground group. Twighlight produces some of the best dark agents underground, though they may not be as large as the Dark Agency in terms of agent size, all their agents are skilled enough to be considered ranking agents in the Dark Agency. Which leads us to the Dark Agency's ranking system.
First and foremost, the agents under the Agency are divided into five, called the forms of Agents.
The first form is the 'Cleaners', they deal with getting rid of anything that might reveal information about the Agency and protect its anonymity, practically if an agent of another form completes a mission, cleaning agents erase every evidence of that agent ever being involved in the incident, in order words they clean up after agents to ensure the Agency is not exposed. It's because of this form that the Dark Agency has been able to stay hidden for so long.
The next form is the 'Bodyguards', these guys are trained to protect clients even with their lives, and mainly take on guard requests that are brought to the Agency.
The next form is the 'Information Retrievers' or 'Retrievers' for short, they sneak into various places and gather information, and they are really good at their jobs since through them the Agency has eyes and ears all over the world, you could even say the Agency's greatest advantage over other groups is because of their information network.
Then come the 'Techs', these guys are just a bunch of talented hackers and technology wizards who deal with the Agency's digital systems as well as tools and gadgets.
And finally the 'Assassins', like their name suggests, they engage in assassinations on behalf of the Agency. They are ruthless and highly trained and wouldn't think twice to kill when they are given orders.
Though there are five forms of agents, there are six ranking tables, five of them for the individual forms and one general table for all agents, so how are the agents ranked exactly?, It's simple, through points they attain from missions, and the number of points they gain are based on the mission difficulty and whether they received help from the agency or other agents, receiving help from the agency will reduce an agents points based on the scale of helped received and receiving help from other agents will result in the agent sharing the total mission points equally with his helper(s)
Under each form, the agents with the the top hundred points join the ranking tables and are numbered from one to hundred in descending order of points. But the general ranking table is made up of the first rankers in each of the forms, thus the general ranking table is made up of only five people also ranked in descending order of points. Currently rogue stands at number one on the assassin's table as well as the general table with five thousand, eight hundred and sixty points and is two thousand, three hundred and twenty points ahead of the rank two, Cerberus who is a guarding agent. Assassin's earn hundred points for each main target they kill and half of that for people who try to hinder them, they also get bonus points based on mission difficulty and how stealthily they eliminate their target.
Even though retrieving the information about Twilight was something any retriever could have done, the board in their usual cautiousness decided to play their best card to avoid any mishaps...
"Now that you have arrived Rogue, make a report of your findings"
"I'll do that, but before then, why was the board awaiting my arrival"
"We predicted you were going to show up today since you normally complete your missions within three days unless they belong to advanced difficulties"
"Really, I didn't know the board thought so highly of me"
"Stop your silly jokes boy, if we didn't you won't be our number one agent would you?"
"I guess, so then, the report, it wasn't as you feared, Mike had no information on Twilight and he didn't belong to them either"
"What do you mean Rogue?"
"But there was cause for alarm, because he was from the CIA, and they were trying to capture an agent for interrogation, if an agent below rank thirty in the other forms aside bodyguards or assassins had gone, they would have been captured"
"Really!, and here we thought it was Twilight's scheme to get back at us because Shredder took out Darkness, one of their top agents. But if what you say is true then the mission level should have been a Bear class instead of a Lion"
"That would be the case...now since I'm done with my report I'll be heading back"
"Wait agent Rogue, we have a new mission for you to undertake"
"Pardon, aren't agents allowed a week's rest after every mission, and I just completed a Bear level difficulty"
"All of us present are aware of that, and we also know that mission took nothing out of you even though most agents would have been put on tight ropes, but the next mission is important since it's from a VIP client and you're the only one who can pull it off"
"Well what can I say when you're the bosses, plus this is the main reason why you were waiting for me isn't it?"
"Good, then the briefing will begin after your assistant arrives"
"Assistant?!, But I already made it clear that I don't want and need one, Shredder will mock me to my grave"
"That's your reason?"
"It's that and also the fact that whoever it is would only hold me back"
"You know very well that assistants are quite skilled, all of them will be ranked in the top thirties of assassins if they were to be put in the rankings, besides this mission has an advanced difficulty so you will need some aid"
"I have completed an advanced mission on my own before without any help"
"We are aware of that record, that is why we don't want to lose our top rank agent in this mission"
"Is it that difficult?
"It's a meggaledon level mission"
Rogue had frozen in shock, perhaps he'd heard wrong but a mission of that difficulty would surely need the strength of all the upper rank agents, was what was running through his mind...
