Warning: Swearing
- 1st Person
I sighed, leaning against a brick wall of a small town, as I had just finished telling a story of two birds and a God to an elderly couple, who gratefully gave me money in the end, before noticing potential customers coming over. A bunch of kids it seemed approached me, asking me to tell them a story, so after the handed me money enough for a tale, they were intrigued with what tale I would be able to tell them, so, I simply did what they asked as I didn't necessarily want to make my potential customers wish for refunds.
"According to folklore, Dvalin was a majestic beast who soared through the skies as the protector of the very clouds the being flies through, but something tragic happened, that made Dvalin go mad. He reigned upon a certain city that one would call Mondsdat, although that town has been lost in time-" I start off, my hands making gestures to add the dramatic effect.
"What happened to him? Why did he attack Mondsat- is that what you call it?" A squeaky voice interrupted me, as I coughed awkwardly as I put a finger to my lips to motion one of the kids to stay quiet while I continue.
"Dvalins reign soon came to an end after nearly a decade of torture, all thanks to a traveller who some would just call 'Traveller', but others would call her Lumine.
With her trusty navigator, Paimon, they eventually found out that Dvalin was corrupted with venom from a terrifying beast that caused him insufferable pain, alas creating his reign of terror, and blood red tears seeping from his eyes.
Everything turned out in the end, I can assure you that, as the small team of two slowly grew to five, found a way to purify his blood red tears, and received help from the God of the very city Dvalin attacked, Barbatos, who summoned his companion, Dvalin in this case, with his trusty and sturdy Holy Lyre, but things didn't turn out good in the start, as Dvalin was soon revealed to be manipulated by an evil, no-good doing creature of the Abyss!", I exclaimed, as my fingers shot out of a knuckle position, slightly shaking them around.
Some kids shrieked in fear, while others simply laughed at how scared their friends could get, which bought a small chuckle out of my throat.
"The small group eventually found a way to stop Dvalins corruption by destroying a spiky purple jewel embedded on his back, making him pure again, giving him back his title, one of the four winds. Nobody knows what happened after that and where he and the God, Barbatos are now, but one would hope that they are someplace peaceful."
I heaved a sigh as the kids were most likely astounded, although the looks on their faces gave it away, as their eyes were wide open with shock, their jaws on the ground, big enough for a swarm of flies to fly through and make the mouths of the children their homes.
"Heh, I suggest you keep your jaw closed, as you don't want flies to just fly in there, would you? Also, I suggest that you get home before it gets dark." I interrupt their small trance of astonishment as I was slightly worried about flies actually flying in their mouths. I simply shiver at the thought, as the kids walk away, exclaiming words of astonishment of the story I had just told them, making a smile paint across my face.
