“You are Maria’s sister? How could you hide that?”, he asked, pulling me by the hand out the room and into the lift.

“I am not answerable to you Mr. Abraham, yes Maria might be my cousin, but that doesn’t mean that I have to tell you my whole life story”

He was behaving as though I cheated on him, I can’t tell him the real reason I was here, no matter how much I wanted to hurt this handsome man in my boxing ring, I had to control, I have to find the truth and punish those people who killed Alex.

David was Alex’s best friend, no matter when Alex came to meet me he always talked about David and how much they worked for the Abraham Zachariah Group of companies which included the Architectural firm which was also co-founded by Alex.

After Alex’s death Abraham Zachariah Group became Abraham Group under the two brothers David and Jacob.

The doors of the lift opened revealing the ground floor,

“I’ll be leaving now Mr. Abraham, see you tomorrow” I said, walking for sometime I turn back and tell him, “David, promise me one thing when the time is right tell me the truth.”  He was going to say something , but I didn’t wait for him to complete.

“Okay…” I said, but I don’t think she heard me.

She reminded me of Alex. My best friend Alexander John Zachariah, I really wonder if Anna is the sister he always talked about when we were not working.

It was always ‘My sister is a boxing champion David, she is really beautiful and I seriously was about to kill the guy who came to ask for my permission to date her.’

He always wanted to make sure that his sister’s future was secure, ‘David, do you know why I keep working, I want my sister to be safe, she might have never seen our parents and as her brother I am the only one for her.’

The only reason I feel that all those words were lies was because his will stated giving all his property and shares to his ex-girlfriend forgetting about the sister he loved so much, I didn’t even know he was in a relationship, and I couldn’t even attend his funeral. Another truth would be him never doing such a thing. His accident was planned.

I went back to my office on the seventh floor only to be met by my brother’s smiling face,

“She’s Alex’s sister you know, Maria told me that. She also doesn’t want you guys together at any cost, I don’t know why. But I know that Alex would enjoy watching your eyes on her wherever she moves. Oh sorry he would probably murder you for looking at her.”

“Alex is dead brother, he left her alone with nothing in this world and you think me liking her is funny, he wouldn’t even care, I'm not sure anymore, you should be worried about Maria, you know you love her but you always end up irritating her to the point I think she will find someone else before you even confess”

  I could see my dear brother’s face turning red at this statement so I continued,

“The fact that Anna is Alex’s sister changes everything, she made me promise something and I so hope she doesn’t get into any trouble, also we do not talk about Alex, it is because of that guy that Serena thinks she can rule our company. So dear brother make sure you make Maria fall for you while I look into Alex’s murder”

“ Wasn’t it an accident” he asks,

“Jacob the Alex I thought I  knew loved his sister, he couldn’t have left everything he owned to Serena, as much as I blame Alex for leaving us, I need to get him justice, to find the truth and about Anna, I like her, from the moment I saw her, I am attracted towards her, and it’s only fair to find the truth for my sake if not for that poor girl who lost everything in one night… only then can I tell her my true feelings”
