Tonight was the community meeting at West Valley High, concerning the big fight a few weeks ago.

Of course, Narcissa was not going. Things like going to an assembly at her daughter's high school weren't really her thing. Motherhood wasn't really her thing.

Frances realised that years ago. But at least she still had her dad doing all of the parenting back then.

Now, she only had herself.

After last years disaster, Fran went to live with her aunt for some time. She went to another school, new friends, the whole shebang.

Now that she's back, Robby Keene apparently kicked someone in a coma and is now a runaway.

Oh, and karate is now the sport in the Valley.

The next day was Fran's first day back at school.

Not even noon, and two groups already had a little spat.

"Got something to say?"

"Yeah. Check out my new Lit book."

Fran saw Mitch' face pale, for what reason, she didn't know.

"All this security isn't enough
to protect your scrawny ass," Eli threatened his former binary brother.

Demetri grunted, "I don't need security."

That's when the school councelor stepped in.

"Everything all right here?"

Demetri went to side-hug the other karate gang members, "Oh, we're all buddies here. Isn't that right, fellas?"

Eli agreed reculantly, still with a murderous look on his face.

"Don't you all have somewhere to be?" The councelor didn't take their shit.

"Yes, Counselor Blatt."

"What happened to this place? I go to Paris for one summer
and the losers are running the school?" Yasmine questioned.

Frances nodded, "I know the feeling."

"I'd be a little nicer," Moon interjected,
"Half the kids in school know karate now. Besides, Fran, did you not learn karate from your grandpa when you were a little kid?"

"Yeah, but I don't get the hype. I mean I like it, doesn't mean the whole damn valley should like it."

"Does that make Aisha queen bitch?" Yasmine asked sarcastically.

"You didn't hear? After the fight,
her parents moved her to a private school. They even put their house up for sale."

"At least there's some good news."

"Maybe for you. I feel bad for Sam," Moon, the ever so nice person, said, "Her and Aisha were friends since they were little."

Fran shrugged, "She'll get over it."

Samantha Larusso was never Fran's best friend, but they were civil. To be frank, she whined a little much about shit while she seemingly had a great life, but you know, everyone has their own demons and all that crap.

"What's the name of that kid that Robby kicked in a coma again?" Fran frowned.

"Miguel? He was new last year. He won the all valley karate tournament."

"So another Karate kid. Got it."

"He and Sam used to date, but then they broke up and Sam got together with Robby for some time, but then she kind of cheated on him with Miguel, and his new girlfriend, Tory, saw that, so she attacked Sam and that's how the whole fight started," Yasmine explained in one breath.
"I only know what others told me, but that's about it, I think."
