The morning sun rose and with it rose the pirate crew, Jay a first waking; yelling how she know had a small tip strain of yellow, glowing on her hair. "GUYS GET UP!!!". Chip groaned, getting up and rubbing his head.

"Could you be any louder?" He sighed annoyedly; finding himself getting up and walking towards jay who was admiring her hair via a small mirror. "Huh, so they are real... what colour do I have?" Chip asked, grabbing at the mirror; jay turned to stare at the boy; gasping excitedly. Chip examined his hair, a medium sized line; dark blue stained the left of his fringe. "Sweet" he muttered, throwing the mirror onto the bed and heading up the deck. "Gil!" Jay yelled as chip left.

Gillion, who was sleeping in his little barrel poked his head out, smiling as if he'd been awake the entire time. Jay paused, looking at the man's green blue hair, the obvious darker tint of medium blue on his fringe. Jay gasped, "NO FUCKING WAY!" Jay yelled, point at his "YOU- Y- CHIP- SOUL- OH MY GOD, CHIP GET HERE KNOW!" Jay screamed excitedly, rushing up the deck to go find chip. Gillion all the while stared confusingly before getting out of his barrel. By now chip had been dragged down to the bottom deck by an excited Jay, smiling as she waved over at gillions direction "look!"

Chip took in Gillion's appearance, his long wavy hair; how it somehow shone with water particles. His dark blue eyes lighting up the entire room; his always wide smile spread on his face like usual; his body, muscular and well built; with his Armour pressing up against it tightly; chip couldn't help but blush but looked over to jay, not noticing anything different. "His hair tips" Jay frowned out; chip examined the man's hair once more; looking at the dark blue spike mixed in with the colours. Chip felt his jaw slowly open, his mouth left agape as realization sunk in. He broke down laughing "okay okay I get it know! This is a prank! guys you got me; can we wash this dye out know though?"

Gillion and jay both stared at chip, Gillion feeling his heart sink at those words.

"Uh. No?" Jay spoke, slightly chuckling. "it's not a prank. You and gillion are soulmates." Chip didn't speak, biting his lip. "no... Nonono, soulmates aren't real, right? "You just wanted to have a laugh" waving his hands in the air as he walked at the top of the deck, the two followed him silently; watching as he splashed some of the ocean's waters into his hair, messing about with it as if it would get rid of the colour. But as he turned to smile at gillion and jay they looked at him sadly. He paused, his eyes glaring over at gillions whose eyes seemed dimmer than before; as if sad. "gil.." he muttered. "Are you... Ok with this?" chip spoke as he looked away, "Are you?" Gillion replied, both of them just staring awkwardly.

This silence stayed for a while, jay watching it sink thicker and thicker. Gillion's heart shattered as he bit his lip and walked off; not wanting to continue hurting Infront of his friends. "gil wait-" chip called, but it was too late.

Jay looked at chip, whose eyes started to water; he sunk down to the floor, curling his knees to his chest. "Chip..." jay muttered, looking over to where gillion had walked off to. "I know that this probably won't help hearing but, you should REALLY go talk to him...Chip you need to let him know how you feel so the colours fade; you can do whatever afterwards!"

"Yeah, but gil isn't like that- and it's not like I don't want to be his soulmate its just-" he paused, not realizing his own words. "You like him, don't you?"

Chip didn't know how to respond, for the first time in his life he was speechless. "well- I-" he started, trying so hard to think. Sure, he and gil were 'close' but that was it, right? "I don't know."

"Then go find out" Jay spoke, grabbing the man up and pushing him towards where gil had went. "But-" chip protested, but jay didn't care. "Not my relationship, go fix whatever rubble you can. I know you care about him, So I know you'll do the right thing."

Chip swallowed down any sort of resilience he had, nodding and quietly walking off to find gil.
