Y/n POV

"So are we just going to do things around Whiterun?" I ask.

"Yep." Amoris said.

Nodding I glance at the gildergreen tree. Appearently a lightning strike had hit it killing it and now it was dead not having the life within it anymore.

"It's a shame isn't it?" A voice beside me says and I turn to see Danica, a preistess of Kynareth.

"What happened to it?" Amoris asked.

"Whats even special about this tree?" Bula asked.

"This  is the Gildergreen. It was planted as a seedling in the early years of Whiterun. Disciples of Kynareth could sense something holy in it, and traveled far to hear the winds of the goddess in its branches. They built the temple. Of course, not as many pilgrims these days." Danica says.

"I assume it's because the tree is dead?" I ask and she nods.

"A big dead tree isn't very insipiring if you're coming to worship the divine of wind and rains. Kynareth gives life, and we need a living tree to be her symbol." Danica says.

"Is there a way to help it?" Amoris ask.

Danica seems to think about if for a moment. "To the east of here is a hidden grove where the Eldergleam resides. It's the oldest living thing in Skyrim. Maybe all of Tamriel. Our tree here in the city was grown from a cutting of that tree. You can still feel the glory of the mother tree through it."

"And what? The sap from the tree can restore this one?" Bula ask sarcastically.

"Well yes." Danica says and Bula shuts her mouth.

"So get the sap, seems easy enough." Amoris says, "We can do it."

"Well... you'll need a  special knife, nettlebane." Danica says. "Hagravens have it though, they're located at Orphans Rock."

"Yay." Amoris and I both say in sync unenthusiastically.

"We can retrieve the blade." I tell the preistess.

The three of us walk off and Bula looks at the two of us. "Do you two have a history with Hagravens?"

"We were both raised by forsworn." Amoris tells her. "Neither of us like those hags."

"Let's just end it's wretched life and get the blade." I say.

"From the looks of it their is only one hagraven." Bula says.

"And 4 hags." I say looking at the witches.

"Can you take them out quietly Bula?" Amoris ask.

Bula nods and readies her bow. "I can take the hags out, the hagraven might be different story."

"Okay." Amoris tells her.

Bula starts to pick the hags off, and I must say they were remarkably oblivious. I mean wouldn't you notice one of your companions dropping dead from an arrow?

Also Bula's concern was completely right, the Hagraven wasn't oblivious. Though she did just start throwing fireballs everywhere.

Annoyed Amoris sends a firebolt back at the hagraven. It staggered the hagraven. I used my shadow travel to get behind it and sliced it's head off.

Turns out we would have needed to kill the Hagraven because she was holding nettlebane. It was a small black blade, that almost looked like a sacrifical knife.

"Seems like they used this to sacrifice spriggans." I comment looking at the dead spriggan.

"Y/n do you have the blade?!" I hear Amoris shout.
