The Promise Made

*(y/n)'s POV*

After the chaos that happened, I managed to clear up the misunderstanding between me and the blonde Vesani Ahri. Ahri had also taken the time to explain what had happened to me
yesterday. She had a look of relief on her face as she bows her head down towards Ahri.

Dorothea: Thank you so much for saving my bestie!!! I don't know how I could repay you.

Ahri: Oh, it's no big deal we were just passing by and decided to help him out.

Dorothea: *sighs* You guys almost gave me a heart attack when Mercedes said you were gonna be married...

(y/n): Yeah *glare* if someone didn't decide to fool around during work.

Mercedes: I don't know what you're talking about (y/n)?

Mercedes says with a straight innocent face as I glare at her giving Sett a good laugh.



Sett: Aw c'mon man it's fine just Mercedes being Mercedes.

(y/n): Yeah, you're right. If we weren't friends with Annette I would've strangled you right now Mercie.


The three of them were laughing at my remark while leaving Ahri confused by our interaction.


Ahri: You four know each other?

Sett: Yeah, Mercedes was our senior before she graduated 4 years ago when me and Dorothea were freshmen. After that, she tended to visit us occasionally to check up on us sometimes. Now she's working as an intern here at Piltover General Hospital.

(y/n): She also plays as our second mom sometimes... She plays it too perfectly.

Mercedes: Well now (y/n)~ Have you been eating your greens lately?


The room fills with our laughter as she hands me my food tray and I take a look at what was on it. Eggs, Toast, Oats, and a Cup of Milk and Water... Nothing too fancy but this should get me by for the morning.


Mercedes: Well, then I probably have spent a little too much time with you guys I need to get back to work. I'll be back later for a final checkup before you get discharged and oh! Just leave the tray there, someone will come and pick it up.

She waves goodbye to all of us as she pushes her cart outside going back to work.

Sett: Man that looks like a boring breakfast (y/n). Want some Pork Rinds?

He brings up the jar of Pork Rinds to my face as I waved it off my view.

(y/n): Thank you for the offer Sett but not now.

Sett: Dude you didn't eat Dinner last night so I'm just making sure you're not going hungry for the rest of the day.

Putting the jar on his side with a dumb grin plastered on his face while I started eating in peace
while listening to the three converse.

Sett: Well now that's out of the way let's address the elephant in the room.... you.

Sett points towards Ahri with a confused look. Bringing his arms up to his chin looking like a mafia member interrogating someone.

Sett: What's the Popular Pop-Star now turned K/DA idol Ahri Eun doing here in Piltover of all places?

Dorothea: Paparazzi did spot you guys arriving here at the airport.

Ahri: Well about that...

Ahri rolls her eyes to the side as both Dorothea and Sett look in confusion at what she was trying to do.

Ahri: Our manager decided that we should finish up our education and at the same time hone our abilities as a group so she decided to bring us to Piltover. It also doubles as a break after our 3-month prep for our first MV.


Dorothea:  Oh really? That sounds great! What school are you planning to enroll in?

Ahri: Well, she got all of us covered already. Kai and Eve are going to Hextech University for their last year, Akali wanted to apply to Piltover Music Academy to better learn other genres of music
and I on the other hand am being enrolled in Piltover High.

Dorothea: YOU WHAT!!!!
