It's been a rough few days since you had become the embodyment of the azoth. Dixie was both upset and relieved to no longer bare the weight of protecting the azoth. Yoh spent about two weeks learning how to use the azoth and attempting to make it so you and your friends could all walk in sunlight, maybe even bathe.

You paced back and forth in the center of the graveyard trying to think of a way to reach the azoth's power in order to be able to roam during the day and rid of the horrid rotting smell that lingers all over.

"Maybe if I get a sun flower and some water I can use those to make some sort of concaution and use the azoth's power to turn it into an elixir that we could all drink to be more free," you murmur.

Dixie enters the grave yard and instantly runs over to you, holding an old and tattered book. "I found it!" She shouts.

"Found what," you stopped pacing and look to Dixie. "What did you find?"

"I found an incantation that will allow zombies to roam around like humans, but there's a price." Dixie opens the book and begins to read. "A warning for caution to those who wish to allow mortal and non mortal to roam in the same light of day with the elements of nature. Once this spell is cast there is no turning back, to allow an imbalance to become balanced means to give up another balance in life to remain the world properly balanced. Zombies shall appear and behave as mortal, but shall remain living dead and immortal for eternity, never to age or grow or change."

"That doesn't sound too bad, but it doesn't sound good either," you begin, "If I take proper caution and I make sure the sacrifice is worth it, then nothing truly bad can happen, right?"

"I suppose," Dixie closes the book and sets it down. "Let's make sure Gonner and Isis agree with this first, okay?"

You agreed and walk with Dixie to inform Gonner and Isis of this new information.

isis paused before answering, "I do want to learn about modern human activity without someone screaming at me thinking I'm going to bite them or eat their brain," she pauses briefly. "You know what, let's do this!"

The following night, Gonner, Dixie, you, and Isis visit Vitriol.

Dixie, you, Isis, and Gonner stand around Vitriol as he explains the power of the Azoth and it's capabilities to you. "The Azoth is powerful and it chose you for a reason." Vitriol begins to speak, with his hippie tone. "The Azoth is meant to keep peace between the mortals and zombies, it's up to the holder of the Azoth to decide and figure out how to keep that balance of peace."

"Okay, but what I want to know is how do I make it so my friends and I can walk during the day and bathe?" you peered.

"First you must be willing to face the consequences of the decision, and to be willing means you understand," Vitriol states, eagerly. "For this desire, you and your friends would revert to a mortal state, but would still be dead. You would live as half-mortal like Dixie... But dead."

"I understand that, and that's perfectly fine." you replied impatiently.

"We all want to know HOW, thats why were here" Dixie chimes in.

Gonner and Isis nod in agreement. "Ay, I would love to walk in the sun again, and to be doin' it with me best mates would make it be all the more better," Gonner shouts excitedly before looking over at you and smiling.

"Okay, okay." Vitriol hands you a small 3 paged book. "All you need is to collect a few items and channel the Azoth to bind them together. Once bound together you must bind the essence of the Azoth with the essence you created. The rest is up to you. Go wild, cool cats."

Gonner, Dixie, Isis, and you leave Vitriol's cabin and head back to the graveyard. At the graveyard you sit with Dixie to discuss the booklet.

"It says we need water, flower petals, and fire," you murmur.

"My mom keeps flowers in the house, water and fire would be easy as well," Dixie mumbles in reply.

"When's the soonest we can get these? I can't touch water," you spoke a bit louder.

"I can bring the flowers tomorrow with a bottle of water and some matches," Dixie offers.

"Yes! Please do, I really want to make this happen," you excitedly whisper-shout.

"Okay, I'll bring the stuff tomorrow," Dixie smiles then yawns. "But until then, I need sleep. Good night, Y/N." Dixie leaves to go home and get some rest.

The following night Dixie returns with the items and sits with you and Gonner to discuss the change you are about to go through. Isis eventually walks over and listens in.

"So, when are we going to do this?" Isis buts in.

"We can begin now, I'm ready," Y/N answer.

Dixie and you Begin to set up a circle of flowers with an opened water bottle in the center and set the flowers on fire. Everyone hold hands around the flamed flowers and begin to chant, "Earth, Fire, Water, and Air combine to create a new essence, the essence of life, combine to create, create to revive, revive the freedom to feel alive!"

A bright light flashes briefly and everyone shut their eyes. A floating orb of green and red light hovers over where the flowers once were.

You begin to recite an incantation from the book, "Essence of true freedom, combine with me now, bond with me for life and death eternal!" The orb (essence) disappears and your chest begins to glow for a few seconds.

"Now you just need to read this aloud," Dixie points to a sentence in the booklet.

"Sun and moon, water and fire, allow us to roam and live amongst both the night and the light," you recite proudly.

The wind begins to blow strong and you start to glow, along with Isis and Gonner. Once they stop glowing they appear as human. Peachy cheeks and lively skin, shiny but messy hair, and even their clothes have changed.

You're now wearing a black jacket with jean shorts and a short-ish grey t-shirt with a sun and moon printed onto the front.

Gonner is wearing a striped orange and red hoodie with grey sweatpants.

Isis is now wearing a white dress with gold trimming and a blue belt with a golden hair clip.

You can't help but look directly at Gonner, who's looking right back at you.

"Ay lassies, we best have someone test the whole light 'n water thing," Gonner stutters slightly.

"I'll do it," you offer.

"No, no, if it didn't work then ye would be gone, and ye have more of a reason to stay than the rest of us, so I'll do it, the sun be rising any minute now," Gonner forces a smile. "I'm sure ye got it down, so I ain't too worried about it."

"Are you sure? You're literally risking your existence!" you start to become nervous.

"Ay, I do anything for ye Y/N," he smiles once more and sits in a clear area of the graveyard while you, Isis, and Dixie sit in a shaded area near by.

The sun rises and you and Isis cover your eyes afraid to see Gonner perish. You begin to cry from how worried you are. After a few seconds Gonner pipes up.

"Ay! Ye did it Y/N," he celebrates as you and Isis look up at him. Gonner notices your tears and runs over to you, holding your hand. "Don't ye cry, it's all good, see," he steps back into the sunlight then back to holding your hands.

"I was so scared you'd disappear," you continue to cry.

Gonner looks into your eyes before giving them a brief kiss on the cheek. "Ye know, even when ye be crying' ye still the prettiest lassie I ever lay me eyes upon," he smiles and pulls you out into the sun and onto the grass where he hugs you tightly and gives you another kiss on the opposite cheek as before.

Isis, Dixie, Gonner, and you spend all day goofing off and having fun in the sunlight.
