Chapter 9 The Attack

"It's been a while."

 "yeah," "You seem nervous," 

"Well, I'm not in the best position." 

"Why?" "Just not. Hey! What happened to the interrogation room?" 

"We still have it but it's better this way  to do it at my desk, so that you can't escape and end up killing people while you're at it." 

"Where are my.." 

"Your guns, and knifes are on the table right now." 

"I wasn't going to escape,"

 "Really?" 

"Yes really, but I can't stay here."

 "Well, that's my decision, not yours."

 "They will come after me if they think I'm not dead." 

"Who?" 

"My boss will send every assassin to kill me if he knew I escaped including my daughter."

 "Your Daughter?" 

"Rachel, my parents covered for me until she was 5, then my boss took her  away from my parents thinking she was my sister."

 "You played along?"

 "I had too, he would have killed her." 

 "So what's going to happen to you."

 I look around to see a laser pointed at her my eyes widen I yell,

 "EVERYBODY GET DOWN!"

 everyone ducks down bullets shatter the glass.

 I grab one my guns off the table,  flip the table, and start shooting behind the table. 

Lana starts yelling at people to evacuate the building.

 I start running Lana runs after. 

"We have to leave now." 

"Lana, you would have to come with me wouldn't you?" 

"Yes I would, but we have to leave now."

 Where would we go?

 I thought. I was in the middle of thinking when Lana yells,

 "I know a place were we can stay come on."

 I follow her then I watch as bullet goes into my bandaged thigh, I let a bloody scream.

 I look up at the person who shot me, and they go down courtesy to Lana. 

She drags me into an alley.

 I scream as Lana pulls the bullet out of my already stabbed thigh.

 "Can you walk?"

 "Not really."

 Lana throws me over her shoulders and carries me all the way to her destination.

 "A motel?" 

"Yes we can stay for the night." 

"Won't people be looking for you?"

 "No, because I turned off my location and technically I'm fired."
