*Emily's POV*

Rrrrrrrriiiiiiiinnnnngggggggg!!!!

"Emily, does your phone have to be so loud?" Riley asks, groaning as we head to dance.

"Yes," I say back.

"Why?"

"How else am I going to hear it?"

Riley laughs. "Are you gonna get that?" I look at the Caller ID. It's Stephanie, so I decide to answer it.

"Hey Steph!" I say cheerfully.

"Hey Em! Are you at the studio yet?"

"No. Riley and I just left. Did you hear? We're getting 2 new people on the team as alternates." Honestly, I don't know what to think about that. I mean at any point, those new people can take one our spots as not alternates. They could take my spot. Or one of my E-Girls. And I can not have that.

"Oh I know. I hope we don't find anyone too good or our spots could be taken away."

"I think we need to call an E-Girl meeting. Can you text Giselle and Tiffany to meet us at Culture Shock in 15?"

"Of course! I'll see you then."

"You too." Then, we hung up. Steph is like a sister to me. She supports me on everything, and I love her for that.

"What's the E-Girl meeting about?" Riley asks.

"Trust," I say.

*Riley's POV*

Right now, all of the E-Girls are talking about the whole new alternates thing. I don't know why Emily and Stephanie seem to hate the idea so much. I mean, what else are we supposed to do? Have no alternates?

"And no matter what happens we have all got to stick together," Emily said, "Right, girls?"

"Right," we all said in unison.

"And we always tell each other the truth. We can't let them tear us apart," Stephanie said, and we all nodded. I think they're taking this a little too far. Maybe I should talk to Emily later.

Suddenly, Tiffany's phone starts ringing. "You know what?" She said, "I have to take this." Huh. She looks a little stressed. She's never stressed, though.

"OK. Just be quick," Emily says, and she nods and quickly walks off.

*Tiffany's POV*

I answer my phone. "Hey mom."

"Hey sweetie. Your dad and I need you to come home." I can't believe it. I haven't even started dancing yet, and they are already asking me to come back home.

"Now?"

"Yes, Tiffany," she says calmly, "Now. We need you to come home, so you can pack."

"Pack? I thought you said we weren't moving for another 3 months." Oh yeah. Did I mention I am moving?

"Well, there's been a change of plans. Your father needs to be at his new job by next week, so we need to leave by the end of this week." Oh no. This isn't good. I still haven't told the girls about it yet.

"OK. I'll be there as soon as I can," I say, trying not to freak out. We say bye and hang up.

As I'm turning around to go back to the others, trying to come up with a good excuse as to why I'm leaving, I see Stephanie. Standing in front of me.

And judging by the look on her face, I'm guessing she heard.

What do I do?

***************************************

*Stephanie's POV*

I'm furious. "What was that about, Tiffany?"

"Uh... Nothing. W-what are you doing here?" She's says, looking kind of like a deer in headlights.

"Emily thought you were taking a long time, so she asked me to see if you were OK. Tiffany, are you moving?"

"I-"

"Are you moving?" I interrupt.

Tiffany looks defeated. She sighs. "Yes. I'm moving OK? But I thought I still had 3 months!"

"Uh-huh. And when were you planning on telling us? Your best friends?" I can't believe she didn't tell us! Is she even an E-Girl?

"I was going to. Just n-n-not yet. Look. I didn't want to tell you guys because I don't want to leave, but I have no choice. My dad got promoted to the States, and my parents want me to go with them. I'm sorry."

I don't know what to do. Maybe I should talk to Emily.

Then, Giselle comes over. "Hey, guys. Emily says we should start heading up to the studio." We both nod.

I look at Tiffany with an upset look, and she whispers, "I'm sorry."
