Elias
After everyone left, I stayed up late in the living room and cleaned everything up. Evelyn didn't help. She sat on the couch and glared at me. I'd probably do the same if I saw her kissing my boyfriend. She eventually fell asleep. Good riddance.
After we were done, Jonah carried her upstairs. I followed behind him quietly. I watched as he set her on the bed, covered her with the blankets, and lay beside her. Then he took out his phone. He was quite silent which was a contrast to how he was acting earlier
He finally noticed me after a few moments. "Hey," he said.
"Sorry," I reply. "I just need a blanket for Caleb since he's staying the night."
I walk into the room and over to the closet where I have spare blankets. I took one and a pillow. I walked back to the door and looked at Jonah. "'Night," I said. He didn't reply. I walked out of the room and closed the door behind me. Did he think I was a bad kisser? If not, why was he acting this way?
I walked downstairs to give Caleb the blanket, but he was fast asleep on the couch. I smiled as I started to unfold the blanket. I laid it on top of him. I was about to lift his head to put it on the pillow when he grabbed it and held it tightly. I chuckled. He was pretty clingy when he slept.
I walked back upstairs and into my room. I closed the door and stood there for a while. Tonight was the first time I'd kissed someone in over a year. I didn't even know how to feel. Did I like it? Did I hate it?
I suddenly heard soft breathing, making me flinch. I noticed the covers covering something. I assume it's a pillow but decide to check it out anyway. I walked over to the bed and slowly lifted the blankets. Jonah was lying there with his phone. He looked at me and grinned.
"Your bed smells like cologne," he said, moving his nose away from the pillows
"What are you doing in here?" I asked, my cheeks flaring up with embarrassment. "Get out!" He pulled me in from my waist and threw me to the other side of the bed.
"Relax," he said. "It's not like I'm going to stab you while you sleep." It sounded like he was being sarcastic, but I couldn't tell. I turned to face him.
"Would you stab me though?" I ask. He only chuckled and went back to looking at his phone. He didn't even answer the question. How am I supposed to know if he'd stab me or not?
It was silent for a while until I yawned.
"Are you going to leave anytime soon?" I asked tiredly.
"Nope," he replied, scrolling through social media. I sighed defeated. There was a boy in my bed. This has been one of my wildest dreams. What was I supposed to do? I suppose I just... let it happen?
I slowly closed my eyes. Maybe if I pretended to sleep he would leave. I felt him move around the bed a few times. Then I felt a cold hand touch my cheek. It moved up and down slowly.
"Ve a dormir," he whispered. I opened my eyes. "What does that mean?" I asked.
"It means to go to sleep dummy," he replied smiling. I smiled back before quickly glancing away. I'm folding for him so fast that it's insane. For a second it looked like he wanted to kiss me, but he didn't. Instead, he turned on his back and stared up at the ceiling. I did the same. I yawned again which caused him to look back at me.
"I told you to go to sleep," he said softly, raising an eyebrow. I shook my head.
"I never go to sleep this early," I said.
"It's like two in the morning," he replied.
"I know," I replied. "Usually I'd be binge-watching some show on TV." I mean, who wouldn't be?
