Chapter 4 The Baker Family

I woke up in the water and I saw Eveline. I swam towards her and I grabbed her and I saw the shore and I went towards it and I got out of the water. I checked on Eveline and she was not breathing. I did CPR on her and I see a light and I look up and I see a bearded person.

???: Who are you?

"Please I mean no harm I'm just trying to save her!"

I continue to do CPR and I eventually got the water out of Eveline lungs. I checked on her and she was fine. We got up and we saw the person turn off his flashlight.

???: What happened here?

"We were on a freight and we got caught in the hurricane and the ship crashed"

???: Is it just you two or is there other's?

"No, it is just us.... Everyone else is dead....."

???: Come on I'll taker you two back my house

He walked and I took Eveline by the hand and we followed him. We eventually saw a house. We went up to the front door.

???: Marguerite open up it's me. I found some people

The front door opens and I saw a woman who must be Marguerite.

Marguerite: Oh...Oh they so young. 

???: You'll be okay here for a few days at least until we get you two into town. 

I look around and I see a teenage girl and a teenage boy. The bearded man introduced us to his family.

???: My name is Jack and this is my wife Marguerite, that is Zoe, and my son Lucas

Marguerite: What happened to you two?

"We were on a freight and we got caught in a hurricane and we crashed. We were the only one's who survived"

Jack: What happen to her parents?

He pointed towards Eveline and I lied saying,

"Her parents died when the freight crashed. I'm all she has......"

Jack: It's all right you'll be okay here

I thank them and Marguerite told Zoe to give Eveline some new clothes. Jack lead us to Lucas's old room and I put Eveline to bed and Eveline asked,

Eveline: Dad.....

"Yeah?"

Eveline: Can we stay here?

"I wish we could but I promise I'll find a way to fix all this just please do not use your ability's unless absolutely necessary"

Eveline: Okay daddy.......

Zoe came in Eveline changed into her new clothes and I tucked her in and Zoe said,

Zoe: Once your done come down to the living room. We need to talk

I nodded and I waited until Eveline went to sleep and she said,

Eveline: I have to tell you something

"What is it?"

Eveline: I infected you.....

"...I beg your pardon?"

Eveline: Don't worry you won't turn. I only infected you with a small quantity where you can regenerate your injury

That explains how I survived the river. I thanked her for saving me and I then went downstairs to see what Zoe wanted to talk about.

Meanwhile...

A helicopter flew by with a spot light and saw the freight. The helicopter sent down multiple troops and killed any of the mold creatures who were left. They went deeper and deeper into the ship. 

Soldier 1: OVER HERE! WE GOT A LIVE ONE!

??? POV:

Doctor: He's waking up

Scientist: Hayward? Are you okay?

"I'm fine...."

Scientist: What happened?

"....Y/N... he betrayed us. He took Eveline and tried to get away"

Soldier: There's only one tiny problem... We did not find they bodies

"WHAT!?"

Soldier 2: We only found you on the freight

I got up and I told them that I had a fail-safe installed in case Eveline broke out. I told them I need to get back to the main lab and and they took me by car considering that we were close to the lab already. I arrived and I went to the laboratory with the scientist and ask,

"Is it ready?"

Scientist: Yes, we just finished putting the finishing touches on the T-00

"Good... Release him"

They hit a button and the chamber open up and out came the T-00.

Scientist: Now, all you need to do is give the T-00 a name and give him his task

"Mr. X... Hunt down Y/N and Eveline and kill them"

Mr. X closed his fist determined to complete his task........
