Chapter 3 The Storm

News Anchor: In today's top news. Record breaking rainfall from this week's hurricane looking to come to a close tommorow morning as the storm moves on. Record rain over the past few days have left many residents in some of the parish knee deep in flood waters. On the radar it we can see the system moving along to the northeast losing strength as it goes and by tomorrow morning we should be home free and out of the rain.........

I was on the ship and we were travling through the hurricane. I got a call from my family and I answered it and my they seemed happy and my sister said,

Sister: Dad's cancer is gone!

"WAIT REALLY!?"

Sister: Yes!

I was happy and I told them of the hurricane and before I could explain anything else Mia comes in and I looked at her and she says,

Mia: SHE BROKE FREE!

"Who broke free?"

Mia: Eveline!

I looked shocked and I asked,

"How did she break free!?"

Mia: I do not know..... Something must have set her off

"...The hurricane... It been loud and the ship has been moving all around ever since we entered the hurricane"

Mia: You need to stop her!

"ME!? AND WHAT ABOUT YOU!?"

Mia showed me her arm and I see a mold on her skin.

Mia: She infected me... You need to talk with her. She trusts you the most.....

That's when a mold creature came in and attacked Mia. I found a plank and hit it and it fall to the ground. I continue to hit it in the head until i killed it. I dropped the plank which is now broken. Mia sat down on the couch and she give me an E-Necrotoxin and says,

Mia: This will stop her for good......

I nodded and I went to my computer and ended the call with my family. before I exited Mia told me to be careful.

"She trusts me... She won't hurt me"

I exited my room and went to find Eveline. I went the surveillance room to find Eveline. I looked at the engine room and saw a worker and I then see Eveline.

Worker: Settle down little girl... We do not n-

That's when Eveline used her powers to infect the worker with the mold. He is dead. I radio Mia.

"This is bad. She is killing everyone on board!"

Mia: You need to stop her at all cost........

That's when there was static and I ran to the engine room. While running I was in the lab and I see a serum and a note. I read it,

'This serum will help stop the mold infection and if the victim is fully infected it will kill the mold creature'

I grabbed the serum and rushed back to Mia. I ran in and I saw Mia on her knees and she said,

Mia: NO! EVELINE PLEASE! I'll be good... I promise.............

Mia turned into a mold and I ran to Mia and injected her with the serum but it did not work. The mold crumbled... Mia is dead.

Eveline: Are you mad daddy?

"...No Evie I'm not mad..... Just tell me where you are..."

Eveline: I'm in the captains quarters......

I got up and went to the captain's quarters. I eventaully made it and saw Hayward lying on the floor still alive. He looked at me and I said,

Hayward: ...You are our last hope...

I went to the captain quarters and saw Eveline sitting in a chair. I brought out the E-Necrotoxin and I think to myself,

'Can I really do this? She is just a little girl... She is not a monster....'

I stood there debating and Eveline said,

Eveline: Can we a family like before?

I looked at the E-Necrotoxin and I dropped it and I got on one knee opening my arms and she ran and I embraced her. We got up and she held my hand and we walked out the room.

Hayward: Y-Y/N.....

I looked at Hayward and he ask,

Hayward: Why-why are you doing this?

"...She needs me... and I need her. It's that simple"

I got up and Hayward pulled out a trigger and said,

Hayward: I cannot allow you two to leave.....

He pulls the trigger and a explosion goes through out the ship and it begins to break. Me and Eveline fall out of the ship and land in the water............
