Y/n's POV

This was painfully awkward...

He stared at me with a happy smile but his eyes said differently. He looked over me with hatred in his ocular pair as if saying that he didn't want me in his home, I wasn't welcomed.

I had never noticed Pearl had lived with someone because I never saw them go out. Pearl was usually cooped up in her apartment playing video games or editing videos, if it was anything other than that it would have been going shopping or picking something up which rarely happens.

I fake coughed to get rid of the tension and we all shifted.

"Thanks for helping me out Y/n." Great, now Teru know's my name, for all I know he might just put a hex on me or something.
"Of course, it no problem, really." I tugged at the sides of my shirt trying to keep myself from running out of the room and looking like a fool who just lost his marbles.

"I had better get going, don't wanna leave uh...my cat! Yeah, I recently got a cat." I looked around and then back at the two before slowly creeping out of the apartment semi-casually but still looking like I had accidentally gotten my legs and arms locked.

As soon as I was out of the apartment and the door clicked closed I ran to the elevator and hurriedly pushed the button that has 3 on it that was slightly rubbing off. The dinging noise was made soon after I got jerked around 
fast because I lived a floor underneath Pearl and her new(?) roommate, Teru.

I walked into my apartment and shut the door quietly before slithering my way to the couch to flop down on it and exhale roughly.

Great, now I have to either say I was in a hurry because Teru was scaring me or get an actual cat. I'm often sitting alone at home but I feel like I'm at work for too long and if I keep going to Hanako's concerts I'm going to be both broke, and gone the whole day. Cats are low maintenance though and it wouldn't be hard to just leave them with food in the morning and night. I thought hard. Should I actually get a cat? I mean it would definitely be a good getaway and evidence backer-upper for what I had said in such a rush earlier.

Maybe I will...Aw heck, why not?

I looked up how close an animal adoption center was and it was definitely a bit far but nothing too far for my taste. I went out of my room and over to the elevator again pressing the button with the most banged up number 1 on it. Peeling, scratched, carved into, slightly coming out of its place, all of that jazz. The elevator once again dinged indicating that I was at the main level. I said hi to the receptionist again and walked out of the apartment complex with a purpose other than getting groceries, going to work, or heading to a concert.

The walk through the streets was pleasant but rowdy at the same time. The serene atmosphere of trees, buildings, and people walking around peacefully was calming, but the cars honking, people talking too loud(even though I was slightly used to it from all the concerts), and hustle and bustle of building from the working classes was not my cup of joe when I wanted a tranquil walk to a pet store.

After passing the shop twice and turning around confused at my gps that told me to turn left at the next stop light I finally found the store. The bell attached to the door ringed as an announcement that I was entering the store. A kinda looking lady with purple hair stood at the counter and smiled at my arrival.

"Welcome! Tell me if there's anything you need help with." She said cheerfully. I half smiled and said my thank you before heading over to the cat section of the shop.

After cuddling with a few one caught my eye the most. The cat was a common tabby but there was definitely something special about it. The tan color reminded me of a peach and it had a stub tail.

"What's this one's name? I asked with curiosity.
"Oh her name's Momo." She chatted happily. "She's been here for a while." Her tone darkened at the mention but went back to a sad smile but overall still happy.

"I'll take her then."

If this doesn't scream sh*t-post I don't know what does but y'all asked for another chapter and by golly was I gonna get one out. It's taken me a while because I easily get caught up with other books and forget I have my own to write lol. Anyways enough AN. Till the next chapter is out(hopefully soon if I work real hard).
