Surf

Sunny's POV

I was at the beach working my day shift. I am usually selling boards to customers but we sold out today. I am also a life guard or a teacher to those who don't know how to surf. I just taught my class so now I just watch everyone else. I heard the water gracefully splash around me. It was so peaceful.

I kicked my legs in the water as I sat on top of my board. The waves were perfect today. The sun was shining brightly. It really was a great day to surf. I watched as everyone was having fun. People we're coming down to the marina. I saw as people were on their boats. I wished I brought Queenie to work.

I put her on my board and surf with her. She loves the waves and she likes to bark at some of them. She is the best golden retriever I could ask for. The only thing is that she tries to act like an athletic dog but she is the biggest baby. She may love the board but hates the water. She doesn't like to swim that much.

It's weird because she can swim perfectly fine when she is close to the shore. I think she is scared of the deep water. Either way she does become the biggest baby. "Sunny" I heard my name being called from far away. I tried to see who it is. I turned to find Kiran and my friends on the shore. I waved back to them. I turned my board around to face them.

Once I saw them clearly I saw that they brought surf boards. Well except for Joseph since he gets scared of the deep water. Usually he watches us from a distance. He sat on the chair that he placed well Felicie put down a towel. Adalia and Tony ran to the water with their boards with Kiran taking the lead.

"Really you leave me" said Felicie as she grabbed her board and sprinted after them. Kiran put his board in front of him and jumped on it. He landed pretty well actually. After a few minutes all of them joined me. I watched as Kiran slowly smiled at me. I couldn't believe how much we changed.

Kiran had back hair and dark brown eyes. He had the biggest smile and also a good body figure. "Dude stop got to the gym" breathed Tony heavily. "I know man you are killing me here" said Adalia. "We'll what the fuck guys" breathed Felicie the loudest. I almost burst out laughing when she arrived. "You all left me" said Felicie as she caught her breath.

"Come on" I said as she got better. We all swam further away from the shore. I watched as Kiran took the lead. He jumped up on his board as he hit a little wave. I smiled and jumped up to hit the same wave behind him. "Nice" said Kiran. I tilted my head and smiled. I was grinning because I was the best surfer out of the group. I mean it's my job.

The three of them copied us. Felicie and Adalia try to stay towards the lower waves since they don't come out to the ocean often. I live at a beach house so of course it is the easiest thing for me to come down here every day. They just live on the other side of the school that isn't close to the beach.

"Come on Sunny let's see what you got" teased Kiran. I smiled up at him knowing I can beat him. We both went to the big waves. I watched as he went first. He went up a big wave and he turned side ways to ride it. "Beat that" said Kiran as he was on top of it on the other side. I breathed through my nose to get ready. I went up the wave quickly.

I jumped up and I went up even higher. My arms are out it's if they we're going to catch my balance. I bent my knees and surfed the wave. I was smiling brightly as I got to the top. "That was good" said Kiran. "Watch me" I said as I took the next wave. I called this one so I went for it. I bent my knees really low and I ducked under the water. It was a tunnel.

I used my hand to grace the water. I watched the water roll over like if it was glass. The biggest smile was on my face. My hair was flying in the wind. I got out of the tunnel in the nick of time. "Woah" said Kiran as I got back to his side. "Best surfer here" I said as I smiled at him. I missed this between us.

We would tease each other to do better. "Look" said Kiran as a even bigger wave came towards us. "Let's do it together" I said as he nodded his head. We both took off at the same time. Once we we're on it we began to surf it sideways. I was lower than him on my board so we couldn't hit each other. "Yay" said Kiran as he and me surfed it.

I was smiling and laughing as the water kept flowing around us. Once we were above the wave we rode it all the way down to my friends. "Hey guys" said Felicie as she looked at us. They we're just talk and sitting on their boards. They just kicked their legs in the water. Tony was laying on his stomach with his arms crossed. We joined them and sat on our boards. We all began to talk.

I looked at the shore and saw Joseph. I wished he would join us. I really did feel like we were leaving him out. I did feel bad but he knows how I feel about the ocean. Just soon after I wished that Kiran splashed me with water. I splashed him back. Within a few seconds we had a water fight on our boards in the ocean. We were at least having fun.
