As the night fell over the pridelands ,nearly every creature is now asleep.A lioness cub however was wondering through the outlands.
Cub: this was a bad idea...
Cub: I should turn back
She starts walking away but froze when she saw a pair of glowing yellow eyes.
She gasped as more eyes glowed.
Cub:come out here you cowards!
She then regretted saying that as a female hyena emerged from the shadows.More hyenas emerged .
Hyena : well look at this and I thought I wouldn't get supper tonight.
The hyena laughed as she circled the cub.
Hyena:what's your name cub?
The cub cleared her throat.
Cub:My name is Zira and you better back away before my friend prince Taka kills you!
She growled
The hyena bursts out laughing.
Hyena:well my name is Layla and I am a queen .
Zira:no way! There's only one Queen and she is in the pridelands !
Layla growled as she bared her teeth.
Layla :Hyenas!! Attack!
Zira yelped as two hyenas ran at her .
She jumped on their heads and over them and started running as the hyenas chased her.
She saw the pridelands in view as she smiled but that was quickly replaced with a look of horror when Layla jumped over her and blocked her path.
Layla: bye bye Zira!
Before she could snap she got tackled .
Zira looked over to see a cub scratching her eyes.
The cub ran over to Zira.
Cub:cmon!
Zira and the cub ran as they made it to the boarders.
The hyenas looked at Layla.
Layla: forget it! Two cubs ain't worth it.
The hyenas began to walk back to their territory.
Zira jumped up and down smiling.
Zira:That was awesome!
The cub laughed
Cub: Sure was! My name is Kamili and what's yours?
Zira: My name is Zira .
Kamili : friends?
Zira nods
They walk together and chat as Zira notices a lion mark but has a leafy mane.
Zira: whats that ?
She points
Kamili:...its my prides mark , the night pride.
Zira:oh
Kamili walks to a tree and lays down.
Zira tilts her head.
Kamili: this is where I sleep.
Zira: hey come with me you can sleep at pride rock!
Kamili reluctantly agrees and follows her up.
Taka was at the edge as then noticed Zira and walked to her .
Taka:Zira where were you?!?
Zira: I was chased by hyenas but then Kamili saved me!
Taka growled at Kamili.
Taka: we can't trust her!
Zira growled as she pushed Taka out of the way as Kamili walked past Taka laughing.
Taka sighed as he followed them.
While everyone was sleeping Kamili got up and went to the edge of pride rock.
She grinned.
Kamili: its only a matter of time...
