Globupillar is a combination of the Spanish word for cocoon (Capulla), globular, and caterpillar.
It's inspired by jewel caterpillars, flexible glass, and various types of glass.

It's inspired by flexible glass, jewel moths, imperial topaz, stained glass, and superheroes. I also like to imagine that this evolution line is a 'counterpart' to Wimpod and Golisopod.
