Connor walked into school on Monday, slightly scared after the occurrence at lunch on Friday. He has a long-going feud with Nash and previous run-in's had turned physical. Connor didn't doubt that Nash would hurt him if he had the chance. He was also worried about Troye, because if Nash found out they were dating... Connor didn't want to think about it.

With his head down, he made his way to his locker and then his first class with little to no interaction with the people surrounding him. No one managed to stop him until just outside of his class. Standing in front of him so he couldn't pass was Oliver and Kellin - two boys infamous for being dicks to most people in the school. In highly surprising circumstances, they despised Nash.

"Excuse me, I need to get to my class." Connor said as looked at the two taller boys with his shoulders back and feet shoulder width apart. The typical popular guy 'I'm more powerful than you' stance.

"I think not, fag." Oliver remarked. The kids around them started to crowd around, some probably texting their friends that Connor Franta was in a fight again.

"Seriously Oliver? Come up with better insults. Now please move out my way, I need to get to class and so does everyone else." Connor stood his ground. He had unfortunately encountered Oliver and Kellin before and honestly, he dreaded having to interact with the two bullies.

"Why do you want to get to class, fag?" Asked Kellin with a nasty smirk. "Want to speed things up so you can go suck your pretend-famous off in the bathrooms at lunch?" Thankfully, the bell rang just after Kellin spoke and the crowd began to disperse. Connor pushed his way past the other boys and quietly responded.

"Leave my boyfriend out of this."

By lunch time, word of the morning encounter had gotten around, leaving  Troye slightly worried. He walked into the cafeteria with an air of confidence. Almost as if on autopilot, he headed straight towards Connor's table. Zoe noticed him first and made gestured in a way as if to say 'hurry' and pointed at a small patch of light brown fluff resting on top of a pile of maroon. Troye quickly identified the fluff as Connor resting his head on his sweater covered arms, resting on the table, and walked a bit quicker.

He immediately slid onto the bench next to Connor and put his arm around the older boy, using his thumb to trace patterns into the boys side.

"What's wrong with him?" Troye looked up at Connor's friends.  Caspar answered.

"Obviously you heard about Oliver and Kellin earlier. That effected him pretty bad, and Kellin talked about a boyfriend, which is complete crap. Overall, Connor's had a really bad day." Troye nodded and tried to ignore the metaphorical knife stabbing his heart at Caspar's words, but Connor immediately sat  up with a scowl on his face.

"Don't say that me having a boyfriend is crap, Caspar." He growled. "You'll hurt Troye's feelings." Then he wrapped his arms around Troye, hugging him tightly. His friends stared at him in shock.

"Troye's... Your boyfriend?" Alfie managed to splutter out.

"No." Connor dragged out the word. "He's my brother's friend's dog's cousin's owner's goldfish sitter." Alfie seemed to have temporarily forgotten about sarcasm and was very confused.

Fortunately, there was  no more drama for the rest of lunch and the group of friends settled down into a nice conversation. They failed to notice Nash, Oliver and Kellin glare at Connor and Troye though, a mistake which could've ended quite badly.
