My eyes widened and I could literally feel my face losing any track of color. Deep blue eyes looked back at me and inside I felt like a force that didn't allow me to look anywhere but at him.
Heat was flowing through my body, when I heard someone calling my name. But it felt like I was in a trance. Unable to move and not able to focus on anything else but these eyes, that would remind anyone of the ocean.
However, the ocean has two sides. The positive one that reminds one of the beach, swimming and enjoying the sun with friends and family. The other side of the ocean is the dark side. The part of the ocean that hasn't been explored yet, which was sadly the majority.
Most people get scared when they remind themselves that only around five percent has been investigated. And these familiar eyes do exactly the same as the dark side of the ocean. They cause fear in anybody who even dares to look in their direction.
"What's wrong?" I flinched when I heard Stacy's voice. My head snapped to her and I took in her worried face. I haven't told her about what happened on the plane. I mean how could I? He made it pretty clear that I should tell nobody.
"I am okay" I reassured her with a small smile. She frowned and dropped the topic, which I was really grateful for. One of the reasons why I love Stacy is that she knows whether I am comfortable enough to talk about something or not. And if not, then she just simply leaves it be.
I quickly glanced back at the tall and well-built figure and noticed a small smirk on his face. I hated how good he looked. How beautiful his features were. And what I hated even more was the reactions he caused inside of me.
The heat that was not only burning under my skin, but also clearly visible on my cheeks. His smirk only grew when he noticed my reddened cheeks. Before he could use his invisible powers again to seduce me into a trance, the waitress brought me back to reality when he placed our food on our table.
Taking a deep breath, I tried to calm myself down. He's just another regular customer eating at a restaurant. Okay maybe not regular.
Stacy and I started eating, but while she was able to enjoy her meal, I couldn't even hold my cutlery without trembling. A few minutes went by, and I was trying really hard to eat like normal person. The food was delicious, but I was far too uncomfortable with the mafia boss's presence to enjoy it.
Was he the shadow outside my window yesterday?Sadly, I couldn't take in the color of the eyes when I saw them staring at my soul. I was way too freaked out to concentrate on the eye color. But what I do know is that if it had been the man from the plane, I would have recognized him easily. I've never met anyone with such special eyes. And I hardly believe that there are many people out there with the exact same eyes.
But if it wasn't him, then who was my stalker? Thinking about someone trying to disturb my privacy and forcing himself into my life, is enough to cause fear to flow through my body.
My anxiety only increases when suddenly Stacy annouoned that she was going tu use the bathroom. Standing up, Stacy made her way to the back of the reataurant, leaaving me alone at the table.
Usually girls always go to the toilet together, but Stacy thought that it was absurd to do so. However I had the tiniest bit of hope that she would ask me to go with her. Unfortunately she didn't change her mind about going to the toilet in groups
That I felt uncomfortable sitting alone at the same restaurant as the mafia boss was undoubtful. Especially now that I feel a hot gaze on me, however I tried to ignore it. But my body wouldn't stop the reaction, the stranger from the plane caused. My heart was racing, it hurt.
I abruptly stood up and made my way to the bathroom. On my way to the back of the restaurant I felt my heart calming down a little bit. However the efffect didn't last long, as someone suddenly gripped my elbow and turned me around.
A gasp left my mouth, when I found the one and only person I was trying to ignore. Smirking, he looked down at me, his tall figure towering over me. "Miss me?" When I didn't answer he let go of my elbow and took in my frightened state.
He chuckled "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, I just wanted to make sure my little princess is keeping my secret" I again don't answer him. Everything in me says I should move and get away from him but I can't. It's as if my feet are suddenly glued to the ground.
"Are you?" his tone all of a sudden became more serious. "What?" I said, my heart beating enormously loud, I could hear it. He took a step closer towards me "Our secret, love. Did you tell anyone?"
I shook my head, unable to speak. He leaned down until I could feel his breath on my skin "Good. I'd hate to punish you, princess."
