"Mcally!!..that bugger got away..he is heading north to the bridge "my radio blared.Chief Crowley and my team were on a case.Chasing the killer we had arrived out by the river.
"Roger that..I am on the south side of the bridge...He is coming straight to mommy "I smiled deviously.
"South side!!...the order was to follow him to the warehouse...what the hell are you doing there !!"
"The warehouse had another exit to the bridge..I knew he would take it.."
Chief cut me off"You know you have to follow orders...if you weren't the niece of...."
"Bugger approaching!!!...."I said and switched off the radio .I loved to cut the chief out like that.
The hot sun created a mirage of water on the road.It shone like sliver.A head appeared on the other side of the bridge .A pretty head I must say...with auburn hair and a pale skin,his lean body on a rusty old motorcycle,probably stolen.
The boy of 18 was pretty to look at but he was dangerous,responsible of killing 5 people.That made me even more determined to catch him.
I started up the car with my focus on the motorcyclist.His confidence seemed to waiver when he spotted me.Good this is going to be easy.I rushed my car in his direction.He slowed down probably thinking of how to pass by me.I accelerated...he accepted my challenge and accelerated too..I suddenly stopped....his face was pleased...now he could pass right by me.... ....then I slammed the door open hard...... His bike hit my door and his body flew from inertia,landing a few meters ahead of it.I pushed my broken door aside and walked towards him. He struggled to get up and run away ,but his body failed him.I cuffed him and read him his miranda rights. He gave out a sigh of defeat ,as we heard the sirens.
"Good work Mcally .but how many times have i told you to obey orders.."Chief blabbered back at the station.
"Aww..come on chief!!...you know I could catch him"
"What do you think your aunt would do ,if she found out ..you know these people are dangerous...you should follow orders and stick to your team...do you get it...Your aunt will kill me"
"I know you would handle her....Well i got to go....the guys and I are doing a drug bust..."
"Be safe...Celeste... and stay with the guys...and if they dont behave like gentlemen around you I'm going to.."
"Yeah Uncle Crowley...They'll behave..."Sheesh!!...sometimes i feel like I am 12...not 23...thats the chief,,,my uncle Crowley for you...
