~two days later~
Third Person Pov
Kevin and elijah had started packing ready to move and start their new life with the kids. Kevin told elijah he was going to take him somewhere nice to take his mind off everything and had the kids stay over at doug's house. Kevin checked into a hotel where gifts and a big question were waiting.
Kevin would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous. He didn't know if elijah was truly ready to take this step with him and didn't want elijah to feel pressured. Which is why he's going to propose to him in their hotel room. It'll be just them with no added pressure and kevin wanted this way anyway.
Just him and elijah he didn't need anyone else around in this moment. Elijah looked over at kevin and could tell he was nervous. "You okay?" Elijah asks before placing his hand on top of kevin's. "Yeah I'm good" Kevin says and elijah didn't believe him but chose not to question any further.
Elijah raised an eyebrow once they pulled up to the fancy looking hotel. "What are we doing here?" Elijah asks. "You'll see" Kevin says with a smile trying to forget about how nervous he was and focus on what was to come. Elijah smiled once they went into the room and he saw the presents.
He however was more than shocked when kevin had gotten on one knee and pulled out a small black box. Elijah smiled and felt tears come to his eyes once kevin began to speak from his heart before asking the question he had been nervous to ask all night. Elijah said yes knowing that kevin had his heart.
Elijah knew the future was bright but knew he need kevin by his side in order for their future to stay that way. Both of them were happy beyond words excited to start a new chapter in their lives.
