"I can't get anything here either." Wyatt muttered ad he shoved his phone back into his pocket.
"I'm sure our parents will come for us soon." Skylar spoke as she held her uniform as she made her way to the uniform room and hung it up.
"It's pretty bad out there, I wouldn't be surprised if they waited until tomorrow to come get us." Kendal maneuvered her hands around in her hair as she let her brown hair flow down onto her shoulders.
Mr.Pendergast, their band director walked by to the lobby doors as his eyes scanned the outside through the glass. He let out a long sigh and shuffled his keys around as he used his other hand to push his glasses back onto his nose.
Finally, he found the key and locked the door.
"Right on time." Skylar let out a grunt as she turned her phone so the rest of the band could see. A tornado warning, how convenient.
Emma pulled her letterman onto her shoulders as Mr.P decided to spill the beans.
"Might as well get comfortable tonight, it doesn't look like things will clear up. I'll send out a text to your parents. Get comfortable somewhere." He began to stomp back to his office, they just guessed he was upset about the football game.
It had been around 10PM ever since they got back to the school. The football team had decided to stay in the locker rooms since there were no windows and they really couldn't risk going outside.
Skylar let out a long sigh and yanked the gray jacket she commonly wore over her shoulders and found herself in one of the two practice rooms.
Emma followed closely behind as she shut the door behind her and slid down the wall next to Skylar.
"Sucky night right? Lose a game 7-36 and now we are stuck here." Emma looked through the glass that sat on two walls of the practice room. The one she looked at led to a hall that followed into the band room.
"Well we could've been stuck in the locker rooms like the football team, all sweaty and stuff." Skylar chuckled and leaned her head back on the wall.
Kendal and Wyatt shuffled into the room as they began to take seats. Kendal decides to relax on the wall across from Emma and Wyatt sat in the seat next to the piano.
For around an hour, it was peaceful.
Meagan even tagged along in their shenanigans.
But suddenly a scream from the band room pierced their ears. That wasn't normal.
They all quickly filed out of the practice room as they recognized Marta with a horrified expression on her face.
"Marta! What's wrong?!" Wyatt yelled, coming up behind her as the rest of them caught glimpse of what Marta saw.
There laid Mr.Pendergast on the ground, his throat was slit and the keys he always wore on his belt? Gone.
