How to Train a Vampire

Tae felt like a great weight has been taken off his body and that he was being lifted into the air, his body stiff like he's been sleeping in the same spot for years, when he opens his eyes he sees the full moon and the stars twinkling, "welcome back Taehyung." The voice startles him and he looks around, Tae sees a short dark haired boy standing over him with a shovel in his hand, "dont kill me, please." 

He laughs, "I'm not going to kill you Taehyung, I just dug you up, come on stand up and stretch, I know you must be feeling stiff." Tae stands up and look around, dusting myself off, I look at the boy again, "dug me up, what do you mean dug me up, was I buried, and who are you anyway."

"Kim Taehyung, I am Park Jimin, your new assistant, glad to make your acquaintance", he says with the brightest smile Tae has ever seen. "My assistant", he asks, "I'm confused, what is happening." "Tae you are a vampire and I am your assistant", Jimin says. "Excuse me, I'm a what, did you say vampire", he subconsciously rubs his tongue over his teeth and yelp when he pokes his tongue on his sharp tooth. "How did I become a vampire and how long have I been buried alive", Tae asks very confused.

"Let's get you home and fed, you might be able to think more clearly, follow me", he says waving his hand to follow him. "Where am I that there is snow on the ground", Tae asks. "Have you never seen snow before", Jimin asks. Tae shakes his head, "I remember being from a very warm climate where it never turned cold, how long have I been in the ground." He rubs his chin and looks up at the sky, "about 100 years I think." Tae stops walking, "100 years, why so long, why am I not old, why are you not old, you look like a boy, how are you my assistant." Jimin laughs, "in time Taehyung, you are hungry and your body needs blood soon." 

They walk for what seems like forever, when they come upon a modest looking home, all the lights are on and it feels warm and inviting, there are colorful lights around the windows and bushes out front, "is this my house." "Yes, actually it is our house, being your assistant I am to stay with you and help you with everything you need", Jimin says unlocking the door. "Why all the lights", Tae asks. "It's almost Christmas, and I wanted to make it look nice and festive", Jimin says proudly. 

When they walk inside there is a huge tree covered with lights and shiny strands of metal, there is a fire in the fireplace and Tae notices a very pretty girl sitting on the couch, "who is that." "Your dinner", Jimin says. His eyes go wide, "my what, I actually have to eat her, will you share with me because that's quite a lot to consume." Jimin laughs, "you don't eat her Taehyung, you drink her blood, she is here to feed you, that is her job." "Okay, should I get a glass or a bowl, maybe a straw", Tae asks looking around for the kitchen. 

"No, you just bite her neck or wrist and you suck the blood from her", Jimin says. "Eww, is that sanitary, you can spread disease that way", Tae says cringing. "Taehyung, you are vampire, that is the only way you will survive", Jimin says taking Tae's hand and leading him to the couch. Tae sits next to the girl and stares at her, "why are you okay with this, does your parents know you do this." She giggles, "my parents gave birth to me so that I could be a feeder sir, that is my job." 

"My goodness", Tae didn't know what to think, this is all really strange to him, he has so many questions for Jimin but he does feel very weak, so he'll have to do this. "I apologize in advance If I hurt you, I have never done this before", Tae says scooting closer to the girl. "You can see the scar from other biters, just insert your fangs there and suck", she says. "Also Taehyung, the minute you feel full you must stop or you will kill her", Jimin says. "No pressure or anything", I say laughing nervously.

 Tae sees the scars she is talking about, he licks his lips and leans in, then pulls back, he breathes in and out and leans in again, "ok I'm going in, is that okay to say." Jimin laughs, "whatever you want to say is fine." "Okay, I'll do it, I'll do it, I'll do it, I'll do it, I'll do it", he keeps repeating. Tae opens his mouth and when he feels his teeth sink into the flesh he panics and lets go, blood squirts out hitting Tae in the face, "oh god Jimin." "Suck Taehyung, SUCK", he yells. He latches his mouth onto the bite and sucks, the warm liquid slides down his throat, it's bittersweet but very filling, "Taehyung when you are done, lick the wound and it will close."

 Tae did as Jimin said and after licking the wound closed the girl laid back on the couch and fell asleep, "she needs to sleep a bit, losing so much blood so fast makes you sleepy, why don't you go shower and change, then we can talk, I'll answer all your questions now." Jimin showed Tae his room and how the shutters close at dawn, keeping the sunlight out. Tae finds his room to be very cozy, the bathroom is nice and big, he starts the shower and when he steps in he feels all his muscles relax under the hot water. After washing up he gets dressed and finds Jimin down stairs eating at the kitchen table, "have a seat Taehyung." 

"Jimin you can just call me Tae", he says sitting down across from him. "Would you like some tea", Jimin asks. "Ok so good jumping off point, what can I eat and not eat", Tae asks. "To survive, you need to consume blood but you can have other liquids, if you drink alcohol you won't get drunk, but if you drink someone's blood who is drunk, you will feel the effects, solid foods can be eaten but not a lot because it will make you sick after a while", he says pouring Tae a cup of tea. 

"How old are you", Tae asks. He stops a moment and thinks, "about 350 years old." "What are you", he asks surprised. "I am an elf, when I was much younger I worked for the big man up at the North Pole, but I did some bad things and was banished, I wandered the globe for awhile until I met your Sire, he came to realize I was actually his mate and he taught me how to take care of his kind", Jimin says finishing up his steak. "My Sire, what do you mean by that", Tae asks confused.

 "Your Sire is the man that created you, that turned you into a vampire, he put me in charge of watching over you while you were buried, then asked if I would take care of you forever, a short time later he was killed", he says setting his plate in the sink.  "Are you okay with taking care of me, okay showing me how to be vampire", Tae asks. 

"Tae I can't show you how to be a vampire, I only know how to care for you, make sure you drink and to make sure you are in your room before sunrise, I also do laundry and dust, but I don't do windows", Jimin says laughing. "How do I do vampire stuff if no one will teach me, I almost killed that girl earlier, do I just wing it and hope I don't destroy something", he asks. "We will figure it out together", Jimin says patting his shoulder, "now let me show you where everything is."
