(First ever oneshot with the Guiding Light in it. Hehe yay!)

She was the good in this place.
She was the comfort to their problems.
She was the one they turn to for help.
She was the light.
She is their guiding light. She would tell them it's ok.
She would tell them things will get better.
She would tell them the truth when they asked.
She would be their truth.
She would be their guiding light.———
In the realm of the bloodthirsty, it would roam.
In the realm of the bloodthirsty, it would lurk.
In the realm of the bloodthirsty, it would stare.
In the realm of the bloodthirsty, it would kill.
In the realm of the bloodthirsty, you will halt.Humans beware, you must turn around.
Humans beware, you must run away.
Humans beware, you just took a hit.
Humans beware, you must not die.
Humans beware, you died to who you call Halt.———
After completely purging a human, now known as Creature, Halt felt like it could finally rest. Creature used a revive and almost got murdered by Seek, but pulled out the vitamins. This poor human was so scared that they were gonna get destroyed by Figure. They made it out of the hotel ok. But enough about my solo doors run I mean the human.
Halt looked at the open drawers, sighing before closing them. It really didn't wanna finish closing them, but it had to be done. Soon enough, it noticed that the drawers were being closed without it doing anything.
"...thanks, Spirit..." Halt whispered.
"I understand how it can be exhausting, Halt. But it is my job to help those in need." Spirit stated. "And I also feel the need to protect you and the others from Shadow, as I think of you all as my children and I want to make sure you're all safe."
"I think of you as a mother to me, if I'm being honest." Halt stated. "...I'm kinda tired."
"Would you like to go to your room?" Spirit asked.
Halt nodded. Spirit then took its hand and walked with it to its room. Once they were there, she tucked it into bed and shut the lights off, closing the door behind her after wishing it sweet dreams. She smiled.
She was gonna go to the library, but remembered that the human was probably there. I sat in that fucking library for 20+ minutes because I was scared that I was gonna get purged by Figure. She prayed for the human's safety for their success, and for their well-being. But in the end, I beat the game solo I mean the human made it out ok in one piece.
Spirit then went to go see what the others were up to. She ran into Seek first.
"Hello, Seek. How are you?" She asked.
He shrugged.
"Did the human get to you yet?" Spirit asked.
"Yes. They mysteriously took fire damaged and toUCHED ME- and they were dressed as me too! It was disturbing." Seek answered. "They're at the library now and it's already been fifteen minutes."
"I see... well I'm gonna go check back on Halt now. And if you see Rush and Ambush in the same room and unsupervised, stop them from doing something dangerous. Can you do that for me, please?" Spirit asked.
He nodded.
———
Spirit soon got back to Halt's room. She opened the door and entered, pulling up and chair and sitting next to it. She sat there for about three hours, which is when Halt woke up.
"Good morning, Halt. How did you sleep?" Spirit asked.
"...I slept ok for the most part..." Halt replied, soon feeling an oncoming anxiety attack. It started panicking.
Spirit was quick to try to help Halt calm down. But when it was calm enough to speak, she started asking questions.
"Do you have an idea as to how the anxiety attack started?" Spirit asked.
"...I don't like it when humans enter my hallway..." Halt responded.
"Did you use any of the coping skills that I taught you? Or did Shadow threaten you into choosing violence?" Spirit asked.
"...Shadow threatened me into choosing violence..." Halt replied. "...he threatens Seek and Figure the worst, though..."
"I see..." Spirit spoke. "But I'll make sure that it'll be ok and I will protect you and the others from this... vile man."
Halt nodded and hugged Spirit. It seems like it didn't want to let go, as if it felt comfortable like this. Spirit smiled and hugged back. It seems like Halt enjoys this kind of contact. It took a few deep breaths before letting go. She let go shortly after, smiling gently.
Soon, Screech entered the room, telling that an incident involving Rush and Ambush has happened and it required her assistance. She then told Halt that she'll be back as soon as possible. She was gone for about an hour but returned with a wrapped up knife and a box cutter.
"What are those for?" Halt asked.
"These belong to Ambush. Im holding onto them until they can stabilize again." Spirit answered. "You probably already know that they use the knife to kill humans, because Shadow told them to, but the box cutter... was being used for purposes that may be triggering. I'll spare you of any details as to not put you into a state of panic. But I've never seen anyone cry like that..."
"Blame Shadow. It's usually his fault, anyways..." Halt whispered.
"That is true." Spirit stated. "And he even admitted to doing bad things just to get my attention."
Halt nodded and started to feel sleepy again. It yawned before laying back down and telling Spirit that it was sleepy again. She nodded and tucked it in again. It closed its eyes and she gently smiled.
"Goodnight, Halt. Have sweet dreams." Spirit whispered. "Remember to look to the light to guide you. I will always be there to guide you."
It's true. She is the light to it and the others. She is and always will be...
Their guiding light.

(2:00 am let's go. Anyways I hope you enjoyed some platonic fluff between a mother figure and someone with crippling anxiety, as well as mentions of a severely depressed person doing things that some people may find triggering. Anyways, remember to hydrate or diedrate. Goodnight.)
