minho is leaning his back against the tree with chan is sitting besides him, busying his hands by twirling the flowers around to make a flower crown for his beautiful flower.
the younger rest his head back, listening to the sound of nature. the squirrels are chit chatting, the birds are singing and a voice is humming happily besides him. he slightly turns his head.
chan is humming?
he lets the elder hums a little more before he speaks, "you seem very happy today"
this statement seems to catch chan's attention before he smiles brightly, even though he knows the other can't even see it, "of course i am happy, i got to spend my time with my gorgeous here"
the words immediately affects the younger's cheeks as he turns his head to the other side. chan lets out a soft giggle when he sees the cheeks have turned into flush pink.
"seriously, stop lying"
"i'm not lying, darling. i am very happy whenever i'm with you..." chan looks down to the crown as he smiles gently, "but i do have another reason to be happy today"
minho rest his head against the tree once again, "and which is?"
the elder lowers the flower crown a bit as he lets out a soft sigh, "well... hyunjin called me last night about his relationship with his parents. i'm really glad that they all are reconnected once again. i'm really happy for him though"
"that's great..."
"it really is... what about you, petal?"
minho does not answer him first, chan thinks that he has fallen asleep then he hears a voice softly speaking, "i only got my dad at home, if he was even at home. i lost my mom when i was four"
"...that's when..."
"that's when i lost my eyes too... i didn't get to see the world at such a young age... all i see is the darkness around me... i can't even differentiate between what's real and what's not"
"buttercup, i-... i'm really sorry"
minho chuckles, "what for? you were not even there, how can you say sorry? like i said, it's my fate. i lost two important things that happened in my life but i still keep moving, trying to enjoy as much as i can. just like other people who live in normal life. i want that, even though i couldn't see..."
michael secretly wipes a tear that escapes at the corner of his eyes. he blinks rapidly to force the tears to get into his eyes back.
chan finishes twirling the flower then scoots closer to minho, put the crown on top of the younger's head and leaves a soft peck on the forehead.
"and i'll help you to enjoy the world as long as you want" chan holds minho's hand and kisses at the back of the hand, caressing it after with his thumb.
minho accidentally let out a soft giggle before he asks the elder, "what about yours? it's unfair you only listened to mine"
"but i love to listen about you"
"nuh uh, fair and square"
chan huffs, "fine... to be honest, mine was wrecked. i mean, i'm okay if my dad is being materialistic, but he keeps chasing after his business"
"so you're like a rich kid but act like a homeless wandering around here?"
"hey! how could you say that to me?" chan pouts, "i did say this is my home, this is where i can forget all my thoughts away. it does feel like home but incomplete, you know?"
the younger slowly nods his head, "so your dad unconsciously isolated from his family?"
"i wouldn't say it's isolated... we siblings are the one being shackled by him? it's something more like that. he wants everything as same as he wanted it to be, especially me being the first child, he wants me to take over his company one day. i don't want that..." chan rest his back against the tree besides minho while hanging his head low, fidgeting with his fingers on his laps.
minho who notices the position has changed, leans his head on chan's shoulder. his hand silently snaking the gap between them and grabs the elder's hand, intertwine their hands together. chan does not say anything, instead he plop his cheek on minho's hair.
"what do you want to be in future?"
the question enough for chan to spill everything whatever he had in his mind. they spend more time as minho is listening to chan's dream and how the topic changes into the household of his family.
chan does not stop himself from letting everything out. he knows he can trust minho from the bottom of his heart. besides, he knows the younger will never judge him from his background.
minho just nods his head whenever he needs to eithout interrupting chan's talking. from what he listens from the elder, there is sorrow and anger obviously visible in his tone.
michael who is standing not so far from the tree, looks at the sky then turns his gaze back to them. he gives them more time as he himself listens to chan's ranting. he has judged the boy too early, it makes him feels guilty for having a slight hatres on the poor boy.
he thinks minho and chan match together. even they both are fed with silver spoon since they were born, but that does not mean they are happy with whatever they have around them. but after the day they have accidentally meet at the same park, michael can see the big changes everytime they both stick together.
it is still a good thing for him because he has never seen his young master let anyone else breaks his walls and be comfortable in a short time. so, he thinks that chan is the only person that can bring minho's rare side comes out.
he silently smiles when he sees the boys are smiling widely as they both are getting closer, especially the one that is located behind the left side of their chest.
