JUST ANOTHER PERSON'S WISH

I'm scared to cross, but I'm tired.
I'm sorry, but life consumes my heart.
Shoes on to leave, but still not ready,
yet I want to move on peacefully.

I feel like it's near, the time will come
where I'll smile and say, "I am done."
So, carry my words for me—my legacy,
you will hear my whispers in your sleep

My mind is my unstable palace,
housing millions of masks on my face.
With an armory of degrading thoughts,
against myself and everyone I've fought.

Remember me happily laughing,
not alone, and self-destructing.
There's a lot of things I still want to do—
but what can you do when misfortunes chose you?

I leave my books and my songs
to those who care and love me all along,
but please, I beg, don't stop me from entering
the new life I'm about to begin
once I'm born again.

Thank you.
