School had recently ended and your mom was driving you home. You and your family lived out of district of a nearby school that was cheaper than enrolling in town. You don't know why, but it was cool either way. Your mom had the radio on, and you were in the backseat bobbing your head to the beat.

The scenery of the drive was typical, the most of it simple houses with the occasional forest or park mixed in. You couldn't wait to get home and slack off all day. Well, you were also excited to pull out your skateboard and roll it across the street of your home. You would always play at the park infront of your home, your parents never really worried about your safety like others were.

Suddenly, the beeping of the car indicated that you were home. This pulled you out of your thoughts and into the one story home.

Rushing around, you dropped your bag in your room and pulled your skateboard out from underneath a pile of laundry. You brushed it off and stuck it underneath your arm like a briefcase.

"Going out!" You hollered. You weren't quite sure they heard you but it didn't matter.

You stepped out onto the sidewalk and flipped your board down, riding your way to the cross section. Once you got there you looked both ways with one foot on the cement. As soon as the road was clear you took off.

Buzzing was heard as you rode around the park fencing. opening the door to the basketball court, you noticed someone else there.

But, you didn't have a chance to actually look as an unidentified flying object crashed right into your acne-ridden forehead.

"Ow, shit!"

The impact knocked you off your board and crashed you and the object into the pavement. You felt your elbow skid against the hard surface, your teeth gritting in response. Pushing off the now seen drone, you began to pull yourself up and against the fencing behind you.

You saw the stranger lift and take notice in what he's done. You rolled your eyes at him and scoffed. "What the fuck man, You kill kids often?" The stranger stopped his concerning look and gave you a stare that reminded you of a goldfish.

It stopped almost as soon as it started. He seemed with it now, like he had his thoughts in order. "Sorry, I- I- pfffht! I was flying my drone and had an itch, kinda didn't notice you."
He looked down, panic filling his eyes in a millisecond.

'Huh,' you thought, 'seems he's nowhere near order right now.'
The blonde lifted his hands and head, his whole body seeming to shrink. "Not to offend you of course! I- I'm just an idiot."

You smiled as the stranger chuckled at his own words. You kicked your skateboard into your hand and adjusted a chain wrapped around your neck. What intrigued you was his accent, it was scratchy, but nice. And plus, you had no clue there were brits in the small town you and your family resided in.

"Nice accent, like it." You dropped your hand from the chain and leaned over to reach for the drone. When grabbing it, you raised yourself back up to hand it to the blonde. "Oh thanks, for the compliment- I guess..."

He set the drone down with the remote and kneeled down to look at the damage. "Me and my family are from overseas, we only really moved here a couple years ago. The accent is really the only thing my family took with us, wait..." He felt iffy, you could see it in his ocean blue eyes.

"This is weird without introducing myself..." He pulled his hand down over his face. You just stood there awkwardly, listening to the stranger's little rant. "M'names Tommy, and you?" His hand gestured towards you looking for a response.

You hadn't known any in town friends yet, so you took the opportunity. "Oh, I'm Y/N, nice too bump into you, or more specifically, your drone."

The two of you shared a laugh about the situation and wandered onto a pair of swings, talking back and fourth. "Well, I'm not originally from here either," you stated, "my fam and I moved here after a bit because of housing expenses. Kinda sucks, honestly." Tommy nodded, understanding exactly what you were saying. "I mean, it sucks because i don't get to hang out with my buds anymore, I only get to text em every so often."

"Yeah, it's a bummer, innit? I have to video call at 3am if i want to talk to anybody from home. I miss the closeness we had as mates. I haven't even been able to make any friends here really. I mean, i got a few, but they're always busy or hanging out with each other." You nodded, your legs kicking up and down repetitively.

"Well, then maybe you wouldn't mind hanging out with me...?"
