Birthday Gift From Someone Special

     Misty Waterflower loved water very much, water was her life. Whenever she was feeling blue, or stressed, or whenever she was happy, she swam, loving the feeling of washing all of her anxieties and stress away with water. She specialized in training water Pokémon, and her childhood dream was to become Water Pokémon Master. She started traveling around Kanto, and Johto regions with her best friends since she was ten.

      However, after two and half years of traveling, she was stuck in her Cerulean Gym to take care of it. She didn't complain to her sisters at that time, clearly accepting what she had to do. Although she unexpectly became Cerulean Gym Leader without a choice, she tried her best to improve her water gym which was almost at the bottom because of her elder sisters who were lack of interest in battling. After five years of hard work, Misty Waterflower gained enough fame and success as one of the strongest gym leaders in Kanto. Cerulean Gym was popular for tough battles, and underwater ballets, not to mention the Waterflower sisters' beauty and talent.

Cerulean Gym, Kanto

     It was definitely a peaceful day, the morning sun cast golden light across the blue sky, with some rays of sunlight lit up the beautiful Cerulean Gym.

     Sitting on the edge of swimming pool with her legs in water, Misty watched her water Pokémon friends playing in the pool. She was now wearing a white top and a mini blue skirt, her orange hair was tied half by a starmie-shaped hairclip. Over years, her short hair was grown into wavy hair with midback length. "Misty, you're one of the Kanto stars, you've to be beautful and fashionable. Understand, Baby girl?" was what her sisters said to her back then.

      Her long-time friend Dewgong was dancing around other gym Pokémon; a Goldeen, two Seakings, a Feebas, a Magikarp, two Finneons and two Lumineons which were swimming underwater. A Cloyster and two Shellders were resting on the coral deep in the underwater. Her powerhouse Gyarados was sleeping on the base of the pool. Her loyal Staryu, Starmie and Goldeen were playing their favorite move in the middle, that was - emerging from water while spinning, as they enjoyed flying over the water before diving into the water.

     On the opposite corner, her three newest water pokemon; Spheal and Buizel were enjoying floating in water and swimming, later joined by two pink heart-shaped Luvdiscs, a Seadra and a Vaporeon. Spiky pink Corsola and cheerful Politoed were in water as they played a little mischief on baby Pokémon Chinchou who was sitting near Misty like a mommy's little girl, by splashing water towards small blue water/electric type.

      Her troublesome yet strong water/psychic Psyduck was staying away from the pool, as usual, now he was walking around saying Psypsy. Azumarill, her baby pokemon, well not a baby pokemon now, was eating food with Hoenn water starter, Mudkip, which was given to her by Hoenn Professor Birch, since other trainers didn't choose that poor water-type. A Snowpoke, a monkey-like water type Panpour, a Poliwag, and a Wartortle, were having their food happily, these four pokemon were owned by May, her best girl friend.

      May Maple was two years younger than her, she was a top coordinator who won Kanto Grand Festival last year, widely-recognized as "Princess of Hoenn" in the contest world. They had become friends because of Ash; May being his traveling female companion in Hoenn. May had been staying in Cerulean for a month, as she wanted to learn some tips about water performances from Waterflowers sisters, and also for Misty's birthday. Although Misty didn't know too much about coordination, she was an expect in water battles and ballets, so as the oldest sister Daisy, they were happy to help the young brunette. The girls went out for city tour when they had free time, they became very close to each other, especially within this month.
