𝗠𝗬 𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗦 𝗕𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥, 𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼

Chapter 16: long distance

I am getting ready for haileys graduation, I put on my white silk dress with some high top lilac converse. The triplets and avery are coming with me so i dont end up alone. Our graduation is in a week. Oh also, did i meantion that matt and avery are dating? well yeah, they are. We all squeeze into bens car. Sadly, our car only had three seats in the back. It takes us about 2 hours to get to new haven and 40 minutes to get to the university. We take our seats and just wait for it to start. They call hailey after like 10 other people go. 

"Hailey Brooke Louis" the professor calls

My mom starts crying and i giggle at her actions. I clap for my sister and nick starts cheering. I hit his arm to make him stop. After the graduation, we meet up with my sister and we go to dinner.

"so, are you gonna come to my graduation?" i ask while drinking my water

"no, sorry" she says shrugging, my face drops sadly "im kidding, of course ill be there" she says 

"okay good, you scared the shit out of me" i say putting my cup down

"what school are you going to?" ben asks looking at me

"i applied to USF, NYU and Boston University" i say 

chris looks at me with a sad face, i look back at him and try to comfort him by putting my hand on his.

"wait wheres USF though?" nick asks

"tampa florida" i say leaning back into my chair

"thats like a whole day from here" matt says putting his fork down

"i know, i dont know if im getting accepted either way." i say shrugging 

we all finish dinner and we all go back to my house, i needed to talk to chris in private. I take him to my room and lock the door

"are we gonna break up? is it gonna be long distance? tell me" he says nervously

"hey, calm down. We're not breaking up, and remember, i might go to university here" i say grabbing his hand

"so its gonna be ok? no long distance?" he asks looking at me

"its gonna be fine, babe. I promise" i say giving him a peck on his lips

"okay..come on" he says walking out my room

we go downstairs and sit with everyone else on the couch, everyone looks nervous

"whats wrong?" i ask looking at them

"did you two break up?" matt asks

"no matthew, we didnt. Why would you ask that either way?" i ask with a chuckle in my voice

"well i mean, youre going off to college an-" i cut matt off

"god damn it why does everyone thing that couples have to fucking break up when one is leaving?! long distance works too you know. What would you do if i asked "oh did you and avery break up because shes leaving?"" matt looks down, i didnt mean to make him upset, "im sorry matt, i didnt mean for it to come out so rudely

"no, its fine." matt says in a cold tone

"come on matt, you'll have to forgive me some day" i say looking at him

i hated to see my friends upset. I really didnt mean to make it come out like that. I was just trying to prove a point. I always care for other people when i dont actually care for myself. Making my friends upset made me wanna fucking shoot myself in the head. 

"matt?" i ask softly

"ill forgive you if you buy me mcdonalds" he says looking at me

"okay fine, come on guys." i say standing up and putting my air forces on, i grab my keys and go in the car.

It was the normal seating arrangement, only that i was driving. Hailey had left a little while before since she had to get her things from her dorm and move them to her new apartment here in boston. She didnt want to move back in with my mom, ben and i cause she wanted to be independent. I drive through the mcdonalds drive thru and order everyones things and pay for them, i hand them out one by one and drive back home. When w get there, i hear ben and my mom having an argument. That has never happened, at least i think. What im saying is that its not normal for them to fight. We all go back into my car and i just drive around aimlessly. I am upset, ive never heard them yell or get into such a bad fight. I get a text from my mom.

yeah, why though?

mother🤞:

ill tell you when you get here tomorrow, love you

okay, bye mom. Love you too

I knew exactly why my mom asked me, i look back at nick whose on his phone. 

"uhm, can i stay at your house guys?" i ask softly

"yeah, is everything okay?" chris asks

"yeah, everything is fine" i say driving to their house "ill have to borrow your pijamas though chris"

"i know, youre always welcome to raid my closet" chris says with a chuckle

"can you drive me home first please?" avery asks

"yep, of course" i say smiling gently

i drive avery to her house and then i go to the triplets house, i go to chris' room and fall asleep.
