What is life, really? What grants it? What keeps it flowing on and on, from birth to dying breath? Energy. The answer is energy. And energy takes many forms. It weaves together the way of being. Plants have energy. Animals have energy. Cosmic entities have energy. So too do the cosmic deities we call the Star Spirits. And it is the energy that they possess, which takes many forms, that we are about to discuss.
There are various kinds of what some call force, the energy of the Spirits and the Black. Force of light, force of mind, force of power, force of will, force of spirit, and force of shadow. But soon, more of them began to evolve from these six. And soon, the universe began to tap into the powers of the forces.
New beings poured forth into the world. Life diversified. Life powered by the forces. As time went on, the forces began to converge, and they became known under a new name - magic. And as magic evolved, so did its potential to create... And destroy. Life would soon find itself both threatened and protected by magic. The balance would be defined by the actions of the ones strongest in it...
