The Harsh Reality

"Why am i so stupid! Why did i do that why why why." I cry while slamming my fist on my bed.

I let it all out. I realize how stupid all of this was of me. This was so immature. I cry it all out and get back up. I go and take a shower to give myself a fresh start. After im done i hear a knock at my door.

"Who is it." I call out.

"It's Ajay. May i come in." She asks in a worried tone.

"One sec i just got out of the shower."

I hurry getting dressed and open the door. Ajay sits down on my bed and i sit next to her.

"So what's up?" I ask.

"Well me and Octavio were concerned about you when you ran by us, so i wanted to talk to you. What's going on?" She asks.

"Well uh..." i stop and turn away.

The more i think about this whole situation, the more embarrassing it is for me to say out loud.

"You can tell me anything. Ajay Che is here for you."

After that I tell her everything. I tell her about Loba and the mysterious girl. I ball my eyes out to Ajay and she sits and listens to it all. Once we wrap up the conversation she tells me to come meet the new legend downstairs.

"Come meet the new legend. She got here a few days ago. Her name is Valkyrie." Ajay says.

"I'm tired I want to rest...i'll meet her once i'm up okay?" I respond.

"Okay well if you need anything your friend Ajay Che has your back!" She says as she walks out.

"Wait actually...i'll come down now." I quickly say as i get up.

I walk down the stairs with Ajay and Octavio is waiting for us at the bottom.

"No way are you WAITING for us." I tease.

"Hurry up amigos im getting bored." He wines.

We walk down to the lounge and lone and behold Loba is next to, who i can assume, Valkyrie. Valkyrie stands up and comes over to us.

"Nice to meet ya, the names Kairi. I'm also known as Valkyrie." She says out stretching her hand.

I take her hand,"The name is (y/n) but i'm also known as...uh."

It was then I realized I don't have a Legend name.

"Don't tell me you don't have one?" Kairi asks.

"I never got around to making one. I think my name works though." I reply.

"Cmon bro that's lame!"

I let go of her hand and end the conversation with a smile. She sits right next to Loba so I sit on the couch parallel to theirs. Octavio and Ajay sit besides me. The run down of the next apex games comes up.

"Introducing: WORLD'S EDGE!!!" The tv booms.

It shows all different types of climates. It goes from lava to snow, rocks to grass, geysers to buildings, the climates never end. I head back up to my room to think of a game plan.

I know! I'll try to think of a way to use the climate to my advantage. I'll try to stay in the cities so I have more stuff to easily jump off of.

A few hours go by and my game plan is set. I make sure to eat a good meal then head off to the drop ship.

We all step on the drop platforms. I look and see that my team is no other than; Loba and Valkyrie. Great.

My plan is to try and not talk for this match. Loba is the jump master and when we jump she says her favorite line.

"Don't be scared, just close your eyes and lean in." She flirts.

"Yeah I love this part!" Valkyrie cheers.

We land at the most popular city. The first gun I grab is a peacekeeper. An enemy appears behind me and I shoot them once, then they're down.

"Jeez they were low." I say.

"I'm down!" Valkyrie says over comms.

"Don't worry sweetheart, mommy's got ya." Loba says, over comms.

I practically barf in my mouth. She definitely did that to make me feel jealous.

We stay in the building and I snipe through the windows. Loba pops her ultimate so we don't have to move to get better loot. We camp out the building and end up getting lucky with the rings. The third ring rolls around and we need to get inside.

"Last call for takeoff." Valkyrie says over comms.

We get on her lift off. We spot out the last two squads and get the high ground. I aim in my simper scope then i feel bullets pierce my body. I quickly retreat on a sliver of health.

"My my you're low." Loba teases.

I ignore her and heal up. The other two squads start to fight. We rush in to third party. The other team finished their fight so we light them up. I could've probably punched them all and they would've died. They all eat lead and we are declared the champions.
