She Takes What She Wants

After we're dressed we head downstairs to get breakfast. Everyone is awake and Octavio and Ajay are making breakfast again. I get excited and rush over to the island. I sit down and I see pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon on the table. I grab a plate and serve myself.

"I didn't see you last night, where'd you run off to?" Octavio asks.

"Oh I spent the night in a hotel since I drank a bit" I reply.

"Now that's called being responsible. Octavio, you could learn a thing or two from her" Ajay says while pointing the spatula at Octavio.

I eat breakfast and Loba sits next to me. She grabs a bit of food and starts eating it.

"Bonjour Ajay et Octavio. Le petit-déjeuner est tres bien!" Natalie says.

"English amigo" Octavio remarks.

"Pardon. This breakfast looks delightful!" Natalie says, correcting herself.

"Looks like you've contracted some sort of disease Lobaaa" Alex says pointing to Loba's neck.

"Hey watch it gas ass. It's from sparring matches" Loba barks back.

"Oh let me check it out!" Ajay says walking over to Loba.

"Ajay im fine but thank you" Loba dismisses her.

Crypto and Elliot come down the stairs. Crypto gets his coffee and Elliot wakes the whole house up. Once everyone is up Kairi suggests we go drinking later.

"Why not" I say.

"My my darling aren't you youthful" Horizon says.

"Fine" Crypto obliges.

"I have more experiments to conduct" Alex says.

"Me and Ajay are in! You need someone who knows how to party with you!" Octavio says grabbing Ajay.

I look towards Loba and she is gone. Time seems to fly by and before I know it, it's time to go out to the bar. Before I start to get ready I head upstairs to check on Loba. I knock on her door.

"Loba it's me Y/N" I say through the door.

No response.

"Loba..." I say and try the door.

To my surprise it's unlocked. I walk in to see Loba curled up asleep. I quietly close the door and turn off her light. I shut the blinds and put a blanket on her. I can tell somethings up so I decide to stay in with her. I pull a chair up to the side of the bed because I don't want to lay with her without her consent. We aren't on that level yet. I sit in the chair and stare off into space. I realize how creepy that is and I leave quietly and grab a book from my room. I go back to the room and sit down in the chair again. I picked the book that i received my first day when I came to the Apex Games.

Reading through it and remembering my first impressions on everyone makes me smile. When I get to Loba's page my face heats up. I get emotional and at that moment i realized that i'm in love with Loba. I close the book and rest my head on the bed. I try to sort out my thoughts but I just end up falling asleep.

I wake up to someone shaking me. I know it's Loba so I perk up and try to act like I didn't fall asleep.

"Why are you here?" She asks me.

"Because you seemed upset"

"I'm not upset"

I feel dumb and embarrassed.

"But you just left breakfast after Kairi invited us all for drinks" I say.

I can hear Loba choke up.

"Oh sorry. I uh- i'll go. Sorry" I say and leave the room.
