Dangerous dinner (chapter 4)

It's so tiring being cheery I don't know how Caroline did it all the time. I am glad I decided today is a me day, not having to deal with everyone is very nice especially because I will have to deal with them at the game tomorrow. I wonder if I can be the one to discover Tanners body instead of Matt, I will need to get used to seeing dead bodies being in this universe. Ooo maybe I'll get a front row seat for the fight between Jeremy and Tyler that would be perfect, plus out of all the characters in the show Jeremy was one of my favorites.

I might just skip the whole school day and then only go to practice like in the original story line minus Damon being the reason why. I decided to snoop around the rest of my room for a diary or something so I can learn more about Caroline than what was originally let on and incase anything from the past gets brought up that I should know. After an hour of looking I haven't found anything besides some books that are less than appropriate and some clothes that I definitely have to include in the new wardrobe I am creating. Now that I've finished looking around I am gonna have to find a snack. After looking around what was in the kitchen I decided on one of my favorites a grill cheese. It took a while and looking at the clock it is almost time for school to be out and I'll have to find something to wear for cheer practice.

I begrudgingly make my way to the school for the dreaded practice I have to hold. Maybe I can let the vice captain run it today it'll be much easier and I can just say I have a headache or something. I grab a comfy pair of stretchy shorts as well as a tank-top to do this little cheer workout in. Hopping into my car I speed on over to the school making sure not to be late so there won't be any of the questioning. Arriving I say hi to Dana and get her to start up practice with my excuse being I wanna walk around and see how the girls are doing for the routine and what they would need to work on. Even though Elena was having trouble at least she was trying. I pull her off to the side, " Hey, since you weren't able to attend the summer camp how bout you stick with me so we can watch what everyone is doing and help me see if someone needs correcting. Okay?". She looks at me for a second shocked like expecting me to say something about how she should just sit out the whole time. "Oh, yeah sure they would probably be for the best." she spoke as she turned her head to look at the other girls. In the distance I see Damon looking at Elena and I but I pull Elena away saying we should check out the other girls and to myself more like out of his sight.

After moving I see her eyes drift off towards Stefan and the rest of the football player practicing. To be 100% honest I see the appeal of watching some of them play football because our more important characters are for sure a sight to see. Matt's flexing when throwing the ball and Tyler showing his strength when tackling some random player and Stefan jumping up to catch the ball. This had to have been the highlight of being here so far. It was as if the boys could feel me looking at them and they turned their heads in our direction. It seemed as though they couldn't fully look away till Elena stepped in front of me blocking the view and all of them seemed to break from their stupor. She made eye-contact with Stefan and their gaze held for a bit before coach called his name distracting him. I had Elena to try joining back in with the other girls now that she spent some time watching the routine and I joined in as well after giving a couple girls some feedback on their performance like one needs work on balance and another needs to keep her arms straight when doing her jump split.

After making it through practice I jogged to Bonnie and Elena. I didn't like the interactions between them in the first season that much so I wanna change it so I won't have to act like I don't know what's going on.

"Hey guys, I wanted to know if we could do a movie night soon. After everything that happened we need to be support for each other" I sped through the statement waiting for their reaction my eyes never leaving them. They seem to examine my suggestion, speaking to one another with their eyes before deciding "Actually Care I'm having dinner tonight with Stefan and Bonnie, would you like to join us I need your help to sway our dear Bonnie's view of him" you can see the joy in her eyes when she spoke about it. "Really that would be great I'd love to join your guys". That was the widest I've smiled while being here, I always wanted Caroline to be apart of the main plot points even before I become her.
