The last thing I remembered was seeing the bright headlights of a semi truck. The second I opened my eyes I'm show a new room believing I had a bad dream, I go to look in a mirror and realize I'm not myself anymore. I. AM. CAROLINE. FREAKING. FORBES.
Today is the day of the Founders ball. Tonight will certainly be interesting or at least I hope it will be. All of Caroline's involvement was towards the end but at least this time Damon won't be my date. Bonnie could be mine since Elena will ditch her for Saint Stefan. Now I can spend the whole day getting ready and texting Bonnie about how we should coordinate as dates.
I get a notification from Bon Bon asking if we could meet up. I'll assume it's cause she wants to see if I will go to the founders ball so she won't have to fly solo to an important town event. She better be willing to work with me on the color scheme we go with because I have two great options for tonight. We could definitely help each other get ready maybe she will help me do my hair if I help her with her makeup. It will be so exciting I loved getting ready with my friends, we could paint our nails to match our dresses.
After deciding to meet at her grams house we both leave. On the way there I felt a piercing stare trained on me at the stop sign but looking around, not a single person was around. The sun was bright causing me to squint. Cautiously I stepped on the gas making sure to keep my eye out for anything to jump in front of my car, then I see it a crow circling above. Damon. He was watching me, stomping on the gas I drove as fast as I could. Finally I make it to Sheila's house, I hurry out of my car texting Bonnie I made it. While waiting for the door to open I look around worried, hoping Damon didn't follow but finally the door opened.
"Hi, I'm supposed to meet Bonnie here we are gonna get ready for the Founders ball" I smiled while telling her trying to hide my nervousness. Eyeing me for a second she steps out of the way letting me in "oh yes, Bonnie told me you guys were coming over I just thought you guys were coming together" after entering we sat together waiting which lasted a couple of minutes. Bonnie burst into the house a large smile on her face happy one of her friends didn't ditch her. " Let's get readyyyy" Bonnie squealed.

"Now Bonnie this is a very important decision. Should I go with the green dress or the red one" I stare intensely at her waiting for the answer. " Ummm, I say let's go with the red I like the design." she stood up and took the other dress and set it on her bed, then pushes me towards the bathroom and said to go change.
Bonnie ended up going with a nice white dress with a floral pattern. None of the colors really stood out so for her makeup we went with a cute smokey cat eye look. I loved the way her caramel skin tone stood out against the soft off white fabric. Now that we are both ready we made our way to Elena's house to meet up. After arriving and saying some pleasantries we left to go to the Lockwood's home. The line was long but it seemed to move by fast. I'm looking forward to seeing my mother here even though she is working it's nice to see her outside of just dinner. Finally it's our turn to go in and after greeting the the mayor and his wife we are able to roam around. I remember that in this episode bonnie is able to light the candles. This whole thing will be much more interesting I will be able to watch Bon Bon use her magic before anyone else can. I will convince her not to tell Elena about her magic she will be saved so much heart break even if its just for a little bit.
Walking around the house I am able to spot Liz. She really is a good mother even if her and the original me didn't think she was. Grabbing Bonnies hand I speed my way towards her with a large smile plastered on my face."Hiiii, I didn't know if you were coming or if you'd be busy at the station." Turning her head towards me I heard an exhausted sigh" Yes, I wasn't sure either but the Mayor requested some of us to attend incase anybody got a little rowdy." In the corner of my vision there is Tiki dragging Stefan along with her meaning its time for Damon to let Elena in on the "original" Salvatore brothers story. Looking back at Liz "You seem so tired tonight I will make dinner when we both get home, okay?"
"You're right I am quite tired. Thank you Care it means a lot to me that you offered" A look was shared between us and all I felt was warmth coming from her. "Well, I will let you girls have some fun. Remember if either of you need me I am here. I will see you are home Caroline and it was nice seeing you Bonnie" with that Liz had walked away towards Carol most likely wanting to talk about the situation with the vampires.
Linking arms with Bonnie she let me lead her through the house. We arrived in the dining room where she realizes that she causes the room to light up. We are just lingering around when Mrs. Lockwood walked in so the time has come. "Look around. What's missing? The flames, the candles. Why aren't they lit? There are matches in the kitchen." the whole slew of questions came out in a hushed scathing voice. I felt embarrassed on behalf of the server with the way she spoke to him.
"Bitch." Muttered Bonnie annoyance clear on her face.
She looks at a candle for a few moments before huffing and turning around to walk out of the room with me right beside her. As she reaches the doorway the illuminated room caught her attention and in a moment of disbelief she sees every candle in the room lit. Once realization set in we B-lined our way out of the dining room deciding maybe its best to leave before another magical occurrence happens.

Driving to Bonnies house was a silent affair. Neither of us wanted to speak first after what we had seen. Before leaving the car I gripped her wrist "Hey, I don't really know what happened back their but if what your grams said was right you are still my best friend magic and all" I added a small smile to what I said before letting go. Even if Bonnie wasn't the best to Caroline when she first turned into a vampire I don't want her to feel ignored because she is different. I wish I woke up as Bonnie the option of having magic at my finger tips would have been amazing.
"Thank you, Care really it means a lot. I think I'll talk to Grams" with that she was out of the car with one final wave to each other I drove away once she reached the door. Finally I make my way to my house. It seems like a productive day especially for mine and BonBons friendship.
