His nose examined the faded black and violet sock that was randomely left on top of the kitchen counter of Katie's apartment.The wet nose of the dog was twitching in every direction to try and get the sense of the girl that has been mysteriously lost for 9 days,14 hours and 39 minutes.What the police don't know is why the man who reported 3 tall and shouldered men beating the crape out of a young innocent girl didn't stay to direct the police to where they threw the body of the woman they presumed was dead right now.
The dog belted out the door when realising the smell.Ashton and the city detective followed the dog down the freshly taramaced carpark towards the dark and smelly alleyway.Ashton clenched the sock and closed his eyes to try and think of why the dog would be going down here as he knew Katie hates the smell of it down here.He could barely imagine Katie turning off down here yet he did know she was in a bad mood coming home from his flat.He opened his eyes catching his eye on the dog clawing at the half rotten wooden door beneath the unreadable sign for the restaraunt that used to be placed behind the door.Ashton dropped the sock in a split second and went to grab the rusted door handle but the detective grabbed his arm.He put on a pair of gloves and took a cotton swab out of a plastic bag and rubbed it against the knob. He then opened the door to be pushed up against the wall as a body fell on top of him.Ashton fainted seeing his girlfriend in such a state and unconscious.

Ashton woke at the sound of sirens blaring from around him in the rotten alleyway.He was helped up from his sweaty mess by a paramedic who kindly offered him a drink from her water bottle.He squeezed his eyes from the bitter taste of the saturated water.He looked around in confusion,wondering where they brought Katie.He slowly walked up towards the car park to see a stretcher lying there with a body,he walked over and only glanced as he had seen it all now.Katie's face looked like a dog had mawled half of it off and the sight of all the maggots that nested on her flesh was revolting.A male paramedic kindly pushed him aside to lift the stretcher up into the ambulance. Ashton was asked sympathetically if he would like to travel with Katie in the ambulance or the squad car with the boys that stood over beside the squad car.He turned instantly and recognised the lads as his best friends and ran over to grab them in for a hug.He couldn't help but sob,he sobbed his heart out onto his closest friend Michaels shoulder and all the boy could do is let him.Luke solluted the paramedic with the questioned face to go on ahead without him.All he needed right now was some friendly faces to comfort him and go with him to the hospital with him when katie is allowed visitors.

Ashton was getting non-stop texts on twitter and instagram from his fans saying how sorry they were to hear about Katie but it was only making him cry so Michael stopped him from using his phone and said it was for his own good.Ashton stood up and walked over to the fridge to get a bottle of Juice-it.He took a huge gulp as hhe was thirsty and he remebered the taste and sprayed it all over thehe countertop and even on Callums neck.He turned around and was about to give out but seeing the boys eyes clear with tears nearly broke his heart. It was the juice the paramedic gave him the time Katie was taken away in her horrible mess.He just wanted to see her again so he asked Mike to bring him.The lads volunteered to come too.

Ashton was in the front seat of the Audi going crazy and acting like he was playing the drums to their upbeat song, callum and mike were acting like the cool guitarists they are and Luke singing the song so well it brought attention to the excited little fangirl in the car next to them at the traffic lights so the lads all waved at her which made her squel and she pulled her mams hair to look and she just amiled and waved at tge boys who were now in tears of laughter.They just continued on with there performance.
'Its hard to think that we are on the radio nonstop and have a few No.1 singles.Isn't it;beamed Luke who was driving carefully as he only crashed his car there last week but it wasn't that serious.The boys all agreed quite giddily all except Ashton.
Luke pulled into the only available car space that was close to the main entrance.They all got up and fixed themselves up before walking in silence towards the automatic sliding door.They cleaned their hands with the disinfectant oil and proceeded to the front desk asking for the room in which Katie O'Hara was in.They were directed by the lovely woman behind the counter towards the lift for floor 27.When they entered the song 'Don't Stop' was playing yet again and they all looked at each other and laughed at the thoughts of the little girl.

They were greeted by an elderly woman who clambered I to the lift but held Ashton back.
'I will assure you the person you are going to see will have a slight problem my lad but not for a while.Enjoy the memories and for a little while for you do not have much time;she said before pushing him out and biding him farewell as she started humming the lads song.Before the door closed she gave Ash a wink at his confused face.He just gazed at the closed steel doors for a few minutes,he was just as much surprised as the lads who were eavesdropping.
'Is she that bad?Does she mean she is gonna die?You know I can't do that.I will kill myself for her.She is the love of my life!It can't be;Ashton whispered just loud enough for the lads to hear.At that he collapsed on the ground.
