SCARLETT

The rain was now beating down hard on the windows as the Islanders gathered in the living room. Most of them had got changed into their comfiest clothes instead of their wet swimwear; Scarlett slumped down onto the sofa in cream coloured jogging bottoms and a sports bra top covered in Hawaiian flowers. Bobby threw his hoodie in her direction and she slipped it on and snuggled into it. It felt almost Autumnal with the lashing rain, cosy clothes and the smell of cinnamon and vanilla coming from Bobby's hoodie. Miles away from the usual hot island weather.

"We just need a fire now, and hot chocolate," Scarlett sighed, leaning her head on Bobby's shoulder.

"I can do hot chocolates," Bobby said, leaping up.

"Easy tiger," Lottie laughed, "The kitchen's probably flooded now!"

Bobby looked mournfully out the window, "But I left some cookies out there..." he said as Scarlett patted him on the shoulder and giggled. "They'll be all soggy!" he sighed and pouted as the others laughed at him.

"I could do with some snacks," Hope said, "I'm kinda bored of the food here now, I can't wait to get home and order in."

"I can't wait to cook in my own kitchen," Noah said.

"Cook?" Hope sneered. "Babe, we're going to be too busy for cooking when we get out of here! We'll be proper celebrities; we'll just get a chef or something." Noah didn't reply but Hope didn't seem to notice as she continued waffling on about how famous she'd be. Scarlett rolled her eyes at Bobby and he snorted.

"I hope it doesn't flood," Lottie said, starting out the window.

"I'll build a boat," Noah quipped and Scarlett burst out laughing. Hope turned to glare at her,

"What are you two laughing about?" she snapped.

"Noah just made a joke," Scarlett said quietly- he was smiling at her and it made her insides feel gooey.

"My man is hilarious," Hope said, grabbing him and pulling him towards her before kissing him loudly.

"So, what are we going to do?" Jo said, tapping her foot in boredom. "Being inside in the rain is the worst."

"Better than being out there," Marisol said as thunder rolled across the sky.

"I love it when it rains on holiday," Bobby said, "You get the best board games out, make hot chocolate and drop scones..." The sound of Scarlett's phone interrupted him,

"Oooh, I've got a text! Islanders, you must choose two islanders to go shopping for snacks for tonight #snackattack #bagforlife," Scarlett read aloud.

"Oh, I love shopping in foreign supermarkets," Hope said.

"Me too! Scarlett, we should go!" Bobby said, "We'd get the best snacks!"

"Who died and made you King and Queen of shopping?" Hope said, "I want to go." She actually stamped her foot and the others looked at her in surprise.

"It's just shopping, darling," Noah said and she crossed her arms.

"Scarlett gets to do everything," Hope said, "Everything is always about her."

"I'm not bothered about going," Scarlett said quietly. "You go."

"Why don't you take Bobby?" Noah suggested. "We know he's going to bring back the bacon."

"Literally!" Bobby enthused, "Bacon sarnies tonight!"

"I guess the rest of us don't get a say then," Lottie said, rolling her eyes and Gary just nudged her. To be honest, a lot of them were keen for Hope to go, just so they didn't have to listen to her make such a fuss all afternoon.
