Chapter Sixteen: United

"Do you have a place here?" Enzo asked when we we arrived at the French quarter.

"No, i just came here to get stefan" i shrugged shaking my head.

"Yes, i forgot to ask, why is he here?" He furrowed his eyebrows in questioning.

I sigh "after we lost Damon and bonnie in the other side, he... Stefan i mean blamed himself, for grabbing bonnie and returning before damon got there..... i remember that night he told me that Damon finally got what he wanted in life and... he kept remembering some memories until he just.... snapped" i take a breath "his emotions were heightened, and i guess he didn't handle it, for him it was the loss of his Only Brother, his Best friend (again) you don't know her, and another friend which is bonnie"

He just looked at me for a second, while we kept walking, "why wouldn't Elena turned it off, thats weird, or you?"

"You sure do ask a lot" i chuckle "Elena knows that it won't do her any good, from her last experience" i rolled my eyes at that "as it for me!... I still have hope" i shrugged giving him a sincere smile.

"I won't stop either... i owe it to bonnie, and i can't leave damon either, even if left me for dead at that fire centuries ago" he muttered the last part which made me let out a chuckle "where are we going again?" He asked, again

"Klaus's compound, or as i like to call it his mansion, it's over there" i point at it.

"To see your boyfriend" he said playfully and i glare at him, giving him a look.

"He's not my boyfriend" i stated "he's a friend of mine" we reach the wooden big door, i push it as we entered.

"What ever helps you sleep at night" said Enzo, i look over to him to see a smirk curved on his lips.

"You think stefan is here? Wouldn't they found him if he was?" He asked.

"I don't know, i guess we'll have to see" i mutter, he does have a point Silas isn't that stupid, but maybe he left him here somewhere not to be seen.

Plus, part of me came here to see klaus.

WHAT? No, caroline.

"Caroline" i heard my name been called by a very familiar voice.

Speak of the devil.

I look up to see him climbing down the stairs "Klaus," i whispered.

And for that moment, i didn't feel the urge to kill him, and that means one thing.

The completion is gone, which that also Means that Mikael is either dead, or daggered, klaus's style.

He reach me with a surprised look on his face "Where were you?" He looks between me and Enzo, he narrows his eyes.

"It's a long story.. But klaus the completion, its... gone" i shrug grinning, now i could see him without turning into a flying monkey.

He gave me a cheeky smile that showed his left dimple "i know..." He looked at Enzo "what i don't know is who the bloody hell are you?" The smile suddenly vanished.

I look at Enzo who has a smug face now "My, my... a hell of a greeting you got there mate" he keeps looking at him, a challenge somewhere in his eyes.

"I said who are you?" He repeated, a low growl escaped. I send Enzo a warning glare.

"Enzo... caroline's friend, and i assume that you're that famous original hybrid" Haha like you didn't know.

"A new friend huh caroline?" He asked looking at me.
