Chapter 8: Lonesome Flats

After seeing around Techno Reef and meeting Dub Skull, Dexter and Daphne swam up to the beach and flew all the way to Lonesome Flats. They flew past the beach, the mountains, and Symphonyville until they landed close to the entrance of Lonesome Flats.

"This must be where the Country Trolls live." Daphne said as she looked at the map.

"Man, it's hot out here." Dexter said fanning himself with his hand.

"Oh, quit your whining. It's not that bad." Daphne said as she and Dexter head towards Lonesome Flats.

When they got to Lonesome Flats, they started walking around. They noticed that it was very quiet. Until they heard a ding from the Clock Tower showing that it was noon. Dexter and Daphne then saw Delta with her banjo exit out of a building.

"Howdy, Dexter and Daphne." Delta said as she waved at them.

"Hi Delta." Dexter and Daphne said.

"How was Techno Reef?" Delta asked.

"It was fun." Daphne said.

"We also met a new friend who had the same passion for scaring Trolls like us." Dexter said.

"I'm glad to hear, let me show you around town first." Delta said.

They were greeted by some Country Trolls along the way. Daphne played with some young Country Trolls chasing a tumbleweed until it came alive with a mouth and sharp teeth and roared at them. The young Country Trolls ran away, except Daphne who showed off her Vampire fangs and sharp and roared at the tumbleweed, scaring it away.

Dexter and Daphne watched a newborn Country Troll hatch from the egg, with its father telling the baby to milk a buffalo. It reminded Daphne of when she had to work in a pumpkin patch with her family when she was a baby.

"And here's where we get BBQ Burgers for lunch. Want a bite?" Delta asked as she offered Dexter and Daphne two plates full of burgers.

Dexter and Daphne both took a bite, and then their eyes widened as they dropped the plates from how delicious they tasted. They then got down on their knees and began wolfing down the burgers on the plates like dogs. Delta was surprised by how they were eating like dogs.

"Wow, that was the most delicious thing I've ever eaten." Daphne said as she and Daphne got up.

"I know, I've eaten a lot of meat back in Halloween Town, but I have never tasted meat as good as that before." Dexter said as he had his Werewolf paws on his Mummy stomach.

"Uhh, is that how ya'll Hybrid Halloween Trolls eat?" Delta asked.

"Yep, we Hyrbid Halloween Trolls eat meat very furiously and crazy." Dexter said.

"Well, that's interesting. Now, how about we see the rest of the town before Barb comes to take you to Volcano Rock City?" Delta asked.

"Sure." Daphne said.
