Charlie Hodge shares, "You watched Elvis like a hawk during a show or you were in big trouble. One night, he started doing his karate moves with his guitar. At the end of his song he lunged at the audience with his guitar. He froze an instant. Then he straightened and flung the guitar backwards over his shoulder. He didn't look where he threw it. Someone in the audience screamed. The guitar sailed across the stage like a baseball home run. Then it arched down through  the air toward me. I jumped over a step to my right, I grabbed the guitar by the slender neck as it came down. The audience was silent. No one moved. Then the audience let out a yell and started applauding and whistling. Elvis turned around to me and smiled real big. Happy as a kid. He had known I would be watching his every move. He knew I would grab his guitar before it could hit the floor. Now the audience knew it and Elvis got a kick out of that."
