-Like mother-"Princess. There is a woman here for you" a servant said. Angelica looked up from the book she was reading. "Who is it?" She asked. "Sherlock's sister" the woman said. "Very well send her in" Angelica said closing the book.
Enola came inside the room. "Close the door" Angelica said sitting up straight. Enola did as told before sitting in the chair in front of rose. "An-Princess Angelica, a topic I would like to discuss with you and Tewksbury" Enola said.
"Im afraid he's out with the gardener" Angelica said. "With the gardener?" Enola questioned. "Yes,I suppose he wants more of a hand in the garden" she said simply.
Enola just nodded "do you love him" she asked. Angelica's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "Pardon?" She asked. Enola took a deep breath. "I said. Do you.love.him" Enola repeated.
Angelica stood up. "I understand your feelings toward my fiancé however it is highly inappropriate of you to ask me of my feelings toward my fiancé." She stated. "If you don't love him don't marry him" Enola protested.
"I'm not sure what you have in your head but the plan of mine and Tewksbury's marriage has been set since we were 12 years old. We will be married love or not" Angelica said calmly.
"Yes but you are a princess! Why won't you stop it, let him find love for himself" Enola said. The women just now noticed how close they were. Angelica peering down at Enola "find love? Or find you".
"Princess. A gift has been sent from Lord Tewksbury" a servant announced. "Bring it in" she said. Her eyes never leaving enola's.
A rather large bouquet was given with many of flowers in the color of blue and white. "There is a letter." He said. "My dearest Angelica, i hope you enjoy the flowers I picked for you. Join me in the garden for a date in 5. Sincerely yours- Tewksbury".
"Please put those in water. Enola I trust you can see yourself out?" Angelica asked. Enola sighed and left. Angelica walked to the garden. Her hair was down and she had these dainty white gloves on.
"Tewksbury?" She called out. His head poked from behind a bush. "Over here!" He said. She walked over and there was a large blanket and a picnic basket set out. "Oh my" she gasped. He smiled.
"I thought you would like it. It would be weird not to have our first date before we are married in a few months" he said. Tewksbury's birthday has already passed. He is officially 18 while Angelica turns 18 in 2 months.
She sat beside Tewksbury admiring the flowers. "This is very beautiful" she said. Tewksbury was very fond of her since they first met at 12. Even before then he had always admired her beauty in photographs and paintings.
He stared at her with a fond smile. "T, there is something I would like to discuss with you" she said turning to face him. "Hm?" He hummed. "I got a visit from that friend of yours, Enola" she said.
"Enola? Hm and what did she say" he asked. Angelica debated on telling him about her question. "There is a matter she wished to discuss with the two of us. I told her Thursday evening at the manor should be good" she said. He nodded "that's perfect we can discuss it over dinner".
The two began to eat. "Tewksbury" she said. He looked up from his food to her. "If I could stop this marriage....never mind" she shook her head. He touched her hand "go on" he encouraged.
"If I could stop this marriage....would you want me to?" She asked. She searched his face while waiting for a response. She set her food down. "I understand." She stood up and left.
"A-Angel! Come back! Angelica!" He shouted after her. Yet she kept walking until she reached her room where she began to cry. She then caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. She sat down at the desk.
"Pathetic. How could you sit here and cry over a man you know doesn't want you" she asked herself. "Stop crying." She snapped at herself.
Her fathers voice rang in her head. Don't show your womanly emotions. You don't want to end up like your mother do you? "Don't end up like mother".
