It was a couple months after we helped Sam and Sarah with their boat. Sam called us to a place. The Flagsmashers were in attempt of stopping the GRC vote. I geared up. I sighed shakily before we left the apartment. I didn't want anything like last time to happen.

"Im almost there." Sam said over comms. We walked up ti to the scene seeing lots of cops and SWAT teams lined up with guns.

"What's the plan?" Buck asked Sam.

"Karli's gotta be close. Keep your eyes open." Sam said.

"Well, it could be anybody." I observe.

"Sergeant Barnes, Sergeant Riley." An agent greeted. Wow. I haven't been called that in awhile. I snuck into the military and fought beside Buck before we were taken by HYDRA.

"And by the way. I called some back up." Sam said. For some reason I knew exactly who he meant.

"Excuse me, are you supposed to be here?" An old man with a jacket and toque asked. We turned to see them. Sharon clicked the graphic mask she wore and took the hat off.

"It's me." I gave her a tight smile. Man I hated her.

"Sharon, what the hell are you doing here?" Buck blurted out.

"Relax. No one's looking for me here." She said guiding us to the building.

"Is that Sharon I hear?" Sam asked over comms.

"Unfortunately." I say rolling my eyes.

"Hey, Sam. I thought I'd get the bank back together." She spoke up.

"Thank you. You're risking a lot coming here." Sam thanked.

"I hear pardons aren't all they're cracked up to be anyway." She sighed.

"Depends on the therapist." Buck countered.

"They'll move on the building. Be ready." Sam warned.
I watched Sam fly overhead towards the red lit building.  Not long after I heard him over comms.

"Sharon, Bucky, Riley, what's going on on your end?" Sam asked over comms.

"Nothing. All quiet." I respond.

" No one's moving towards the building." Sharon said.

"Karli's not coming. She's trying to force everybody out." Sam states.

"You guys are gonna have do something ." Sam said sounding distressed.

We walked in through the scanners of the door.

"Don't let em out of the building." Sam warned.

I looked out past a glass wall.

"There's one of em." Bucky points out.
"I'll get the evac." He says before walking off. I followed him, not caring if he wanted me with him or not.

"Mr.Barnes, it's Karli." A well dressed woman walked up handing him a phone. He looked at her before taking it to his ear.

"Karli?" He said into the phone. He had his comms on so we could here everything.

"Aren't you tired of fighting for the wrong side Mr. Barnes?"

"I've done this before, kid. I know how it ends." He chuckled.

"It doesn't matter if I don't survive this. I'm fighting for something bigger than myself. Will all the bodies you've collected, have you been able to say the same?"

"You don't think I ever fought for something bigger than myself?" He retorts. "That's all I ever tried to do. And I failed twice." He had walked down to the bottom of some stairs by now. "You think your cause justifies all death, but in the end, the nightmares wont go away. You're gonna remember all the ones you killed. Trust me. Don't do this. Don't go down this path."
